Your body is giving you information. Here’s how we think about pain at CFC 👇
Pain is real. But it works more like an alarm than a damage meter. It tells you something needs attention, and how loud it is doesn’t always match what’s happening in the tissue.
That’s why scans don’t tell the whole story. Research shows that “changes” like disc degeneration show up in 37% of 20-year-olds and 96% of 80-year-olds who have no back pain at all.
So many things can turn the volume up: short sleep, stress, fear of moving, doing too much too fast, old injuries, not enough recovery. And many things can help turn it back down.
That’s why we don’t just chase the spot that hurts. We look at how you move, how you load, how you sleep and what’s on your plate. Then we choose one place to start.
If your pain comes with new numbness or weakness, follows a fall or accident, or shows up with fever or unexplained weight loss, get checked sooner.
What do you notice turns your volume up?
