We're excited to welcome LaKimerly Coates, MD, FAAD to Riva Dermatology in Cornelius and Denver, NC!

Dr. Coates is a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs micrographic surgeon, and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology with more than 25 years of experience providing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care. She is dedicated to delivering personalized, evidence-based treatment to help patients achieve healthy skin at every stage of life.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Coates completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Her expertise includes skin cancer detection and treatment, including Mohs micrographic surgery, as well as the management of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and other conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. She also provides cosmetic dermatology services to help patients look and feel their best.
