Where do the scars go after a neck lift? In a traditional neck lift, the incisions sit behind each ear and under the chin. From there, we sculpt the fat, tighten the platysma muscle when it needs it, and trim the extra skin. Most patients take a few days off work, though downtime varies from case to case.

Smoothing a bump on the bridge is one of a variety of different changes a rhinoplasty can make, along with reshaping the tip or narrowing the nostrils. There are two approaches: open uses a small incision between the nostrils, and closed keeps the incisions inside the nose. Which one we use really depends on the change you need.

Does rhinoplasty hurt?
Pain is usually mild and short-lived. Most people describe pressure or congestion more than sharp pain, and medication is provided to manage it.

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, often starts with one thought: you look more tired than you feel. In general, we remove extra eyelid skin and fat through incisions placed in the natural creases of the lids. It is real surgery, so plan on seven to ten days off work for bruising and swelling, and ice plus sleeping with your head raised can help.

There are a variety of different lifts, and a mini facelift is the lightest of them: it treats the lower face and neck, usually under local anesthesia. When the neck needs more tightening, an S-lift goes a step further. Which one fits really depends on your anatomy, and that's what we sort out at your consultation.

Who is a mini facelift for?
Minor jowling and loose skin along the jawline. It suits patients, often in their 30s and 40s, who want a refresh, with about 5 to 7 days of recovery.

How long does swelling last?
It varies widely. Some patients have mild swelling for a few days, while others see it fade slowly over several weeks.

Not everyone needs a full neck lift. In general, a neck lift manages three things: loose skin, weak neck muscles and fat under the chin. If it's only fat and the skin quality is good, liposuction may be enough, while jowls or loose skin usually call for the full neck lift. We go over which one fits your neck at the consultation.
