Welcome to our next feature in "Meet Kidwell".

Today, we introduce you to Nathaniel Becker!

Nathaniel is an 18-year-old college freshman who grew up right here in Chico. You may recognize his face, as he has been attending BPC with his family for many years. His patience, fun energy and positive attitude have made him a great role model for our Kidwell students. We love having Nathaniel as a part of Kidwell!

*You likely recognize the last name, Nathaniel is one of Grace's younger brothers. We LOVE how many sibling groups we have on our team!

What do you want to do when you "grow up"?
-I want to be wise 🙃
(I'm still figuring out what I want to do for a career)

Tell us something unique about yourself. (i.e. fun hobby, talent, skill, interesting story, etc)
-I play saxophone, make robots, and carve wood

What is your favorite thing about Kidwell Park?
-I love working with the kids (of course), especially in an environment where the other leaders share my disposition towards our work, to our faith, and to the kids.

Guess what? Advent Season is just around the corner! Sign your kids up for our fun and festive Christmas Children's Choir. We perform at both family services on Christmas Eve.

-Informational meeting on Sunday, November 1st at 12noon

-First rehearsal, Sunday November 8th 11:30-12:30 Room 110
*rehearsals every Sunday 11:30-12:30 (except 11/15 and 11/22)

Childcare provided for siblings of children's choir participants during our weekly Sunday morning rehearsals.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30TH 2PM-5PM

Bring the whole family and join us for a fun afternoon at The Family Farm! We’re opening up the BPC Front Patio for an afternoon of candy, games, face painting with Funny Faces, and family-friendly fun as we join Downtown Chico’s Treat Street. Come dressed up, bring the kids, and enjoy a safe and welcoming place to celebrate together.

NO NEED TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT.
*Please signup only if you would like to volunteer for this event and be part of handing out candy to kids, playing games, and doing many more fun things.

If you would like to donate candy to this event, please drop it off in the church office during office hours. (M-TH 10:00AM - 4:00PM, F 10:00AM-1:00PM). We'll need a bunch!

Welcome to our next feature in "Meet Kidwell".

Today, we introduce you to Grace Becker!

Grace is a 22-year-old senior at Chico State who grew up right here in Chico. She has been at BPC since she was a young child. Her gentleness, kindness, knowledge and love for the Lord have made her a very special member of our Kidwell team for several years. Grace not only helps with Kidwell, but you have likely seen her helping with various other ministries at Bidwell!

What do you want to do when you "grow up"?
-I want to become a licensed architect!

Tell us something unique about yourself. (i.e. fun hobby, talent, skill, interesting story, etc)
-Some fun facts about me: I love to adventure outdoors, I like learning how to do all sorts arts and crafts, and I know the first 17 digits of pi :)

What is your favorite thing about Kidwell Park?
-My favorite part about Kidwell is getting to connect with the 1st-5th grade kids every week on Sunday mornings... and also VBX

KIDWELL PARK CLOSED TOMORROW SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11TH.

In celebration of Serve Chico, Kidwell Park will be closed tomorrow so that everyone can go out and serve our beautiful community!

SUNDAY SCHEDULE:
9:00 – 9:30AM – One Worship Service (no childcare provided during worship)

9:30AM – Travel to sites and check-in with the Team Leader

10:00AM – 1:00PM (Ending times vary) – Serve Projects

Post-Project – Taco Bar celebration in the Fellowship Hall at BPC!

*People are encouraged to bring their own water canteen to reduce plastic waste. Also, if you are doing any cleaning projects, bring gloves and any other materials recommended by the project leader.*

REMINDER FOR TOMORROW:

SPECIAL KIDWELL OPPORTUNITY:
As we approach Serve Chico, Kidwell has a special opportunity to contribute before the actual service date! This year, there is an "All Church Project" serving the Chico Food Locker.
On Sunday, October 4th at the 10am service, children will be invited to bring a canned food donation forward and place it in a special basket during the children's message.
These donations will be added to the items that are donated by the general congregation between 9/13 and 10/11/2026.
*If you forget or your child doesn't have items to donate on October 4th, no problem, we will make sure that each child has something to bring forward during the message. 😃
