I hope I’m in the middle of a whole lot of things when I die.
I hope I have unfinished projects.
Trips I haven’t taken yet.
Ideas I haven’t brought to life.
Goals I’m still chasing.
Things I’m still learning.
Dreams that are still bigger than me.
Because that will mean I was LIVING.
Not waiting until I had more money.
Not waiting until the kids were grown.
Not waiting until life slowed down.
Not waiting until I had it all figured out.
Not waiting until I felt ready.
Not waiting for everything to be perfect.
I don’t want to get to the end and realize I spent more time waiting for the right circumstances than actually experiencing the life I was given.
And I certainly don’t want to measure a beautiful life by how much I managed to finish.
Going through all my mom’s unfinished business after her death was intensely emotional but also a big reminder.
Being on an earned trip this past weekend in a brand new wellness space that 2 years ago I had zero knowledge around was surreal and a big reminder.
It will never all be done and I don’t want it to be.
I want to measure life by how much I did without having a freaking clue what I was doing but did it anyway.
Life feels like a long list of to dos that never end and it drives me crazy. What if the whole point is to be right in the middle of it all cause that means we never stopped living?! So I hope when my time comes, I’m right in the middle of something.
Maybe even a hundred things.
Because I wasn’t waiting for life to happen.
I was busy LIVING WHILE ALIVE. ❤️ Let’s do this together.
