Harvard Kennedy School has much to say about the benefits of small group learning:
Learning science research has shown that small-group learning (when compared to competitive and
individualistic learning) improves academic achievement, relationships with classmates and faculty, and
promotes psychological well-being.
● Academic: Students are better at solving problems and develop a deeper understanding of the material when working in groups. Regardless of subject, students learn more and retain material longer in small-group learning than when the same
content is presented in other instructional practices. Attendance, efficiency, and persistence
improve.
● Social: Students develop social and leadership skills, such as learning how to draw out reluctant
speakers, handle people who dominate the conversation, and making sure that all members
contribute.
● Psychological: Small-group learning helps draw people out who normally would not participate in
front of the whole class. It also promotes self-esteem as compared to competitive or individualistic
learning.

A quick description.
Only the relatively new declared organ in our body that holds everything together, helps to transfer and share mechanical forces within our body, holds us up against gravity, adapts to our mechanical tensions, helps to transmit nutrients to our cells.
That organ that for so long we just cut away to see the cooler things in our body. That net of scaffolding that contains the rest of us and holds us as one.

Subtle energy and Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) 🌬🖤 a beautiful and comprehensive diagram from @theyogimatt! The only thing I will counter here that science has disproven as a myth is that creativity is only associated with the right brain 🧠
Repost• @theyogimatt The Nadi’s can be very helpful in understanding the purpose and effects behind yogic practices. For example the practice of Asana (physical practice), for the most part is going to stimulate Pingala, the Sun, correlating to the Sympathetic nervous system. So if you are struggling with lethargy, or lack of motivation you might try amping up your asana. On the flip side if you are experiencing non-clinical anxiety and need more calming practices you may use restorative yoga, certain pranayamas that lengthen or emphasize exhales, or specific meditation or mantra’s. It is important to understand that each practice has an effect on your energy system - whether or not you want to use yogic terms like Ida and Pingala really doesn’t matter. These are just names for what already exists, just like scientific terms or names of people - they are not the creation of energy but a name humans use for communicative purposes.
