Grief counseling is a deeply rewarding and vital field that recognizes the profound impact of loss on individuals and their loved ones.

My name is Dynasty, I wanted to formally introduce myself and my journey into this career path. This journey is rooted in my personal experience with the complexities of grief, depression, and the struggles that often accompany them. Having faced the challenges of Borderline Personality Disorder and a Fear Avoidant Attachment style, I understand firsthand how debilitating these emotions can be.

My background in the spa industry has instilled in me a passion for self-care, which I now realize was a reflection of my desire to help others heal. After closing my spa to focus on my own healing journey, I returned to school to earn a degree in Psychology with a focus on Christian Counseling.

Through my practice, Empowerment Pathways, I aim to raise awareness about the importance of grief counseling, offering support and understanding as someone who has navigated similar struggles and emerged with a commitment to empower others on their healing journeys.

Understanding triggers:
A reflection of childhood pain and past relationships

Triggers are often seen as emotional landmines that can unexpectedly designate within us , evoking, intense feelings of anger, sadness, or anxiety. These reactions often stem from unresolved pain, rooted in our childhood experiences and past relationships. Understanding how these triggers reflect our inner wounds is a crucial step towards healing and personal growth.

*The connection between triggers and childhood trauma *

Many of our emotional triggers can be traced back to our formative years. Childhood is a critical period where we develop our understanding of safety, love and trust. Experiences of neglect, abuse, or emotional unavailability can lay the groundwork for how we respond to stressors and adulthood .
