Friday was First Responder (PCT) recognition day and we would be remiss if we didn't give a shout out to our own Patient Care Techs! Alyssa Ragland, APN has appointments available and is accepting patients. Alyssa has been working side-by-side with Dr. Cates since 2021 and has been helping him with his patient load. Summer is in full swing so we wanted to inform the and community about our Poison Ivy Desensitizing Solution which is an oral treatment placed under the tongue. The treatment helps treat and prevent rash from contact. Total cost for this treatment is $94 cash (insurance does not cover this).
We also have lab tests available that can check for Alpha Gal and other illnesses from tick bites! Lab price for this test is $300 + office visit price (insurance payout varies).
Satellite Med still offers on-site rapid PCR Covid/Flu testing. This test takes about 20 minutes for results.
If you are traveling or need a Covid test for an upcoming procedure these are offered as a lab only which means no provider visit is required. The price is $100 for self-pay patients.
Patients who are experiencing Covid symptoms will need to be seen by one of our providers to have the test ordered. Self pay office visits are $69 plus the $100 Covid test.
