ATTENTION!!!! SCAM ALERT!!!!!
THIS IS NOT US!!!
A foreign website is posting classes as START CPR. Please, DO NOT use any second party websites to sign up for classes with us. We only have a Facebook and Instagram at this time. If you ever have any questions about websites and links, please contact us first!!
Another red flag, we DO NOT take online payment!! As of this moment, we take cash, Venmo, cash app and card THE DAY OF class.
Please share and spread the word!!! We hate to have good peoples scammed out of their money!
We’re are trying our best to resolve the issue.
Upcoming APRIL 2022 classes.
We are busy working on taxes and will continue with our schedule next week. Thanks!
Camren was one of our most influential instructors and she paved the way for CPR in our schools. If you’re a donor and able, please join the event. If you’re not a donor, please consider and contact Blood Assurance for more information.
🚨🩸There is currently a critically low shortage of blood! YOU can help save a life! Come donate and show your support! 🩸🚨
Did you know..
* Someone needs blood every two seconds.
* One donation can save up to 3 lives.
* Less than 10% of the eligible U.S. population (38%) donates annually.
* There is no substitute for human blood.
* One in seven people entering a hospital need blood.
* One unit of blood can be separated into several components: red blood cells, plasma and platelets.
More days, more times, more opportunities for you to get in on the classes you need.
If you are wanting to take ACLS and/or PALS, you must take the precourse work and self assessment online elearning.heart.org print off to bring with you day of class.
To our START family, instructors and clients:
We will be out of contact for the rest of the week as we celebrate the life of Joseph Scott Hill, SR.
Joe is the father of Sheena Hill (START TCC) and papaw of Marie Mosley (START TCF). He was also the secretary for the Training Center. He knew all our instructors by name, where they were from and what site the were under. He loved seeing so many people being trained on how to save lives through our TC. One thing he really enjoyed, was attending instructor updates and making site visits. We want to thank you all for always making him feel so welcomed in your services. He had a special place in his heart for his EMS, Fire, Hospital, healthcare and PD friends.
Share Memories of Joseph & Support the Hill Family

COVID 19 training update for instructors:
Please remember, students have 120 days after they expire to get renewed. However, employers are still requiring renewals or the employees will be suspended without pay.
When training, practice distancing. Keep classes small. If your student feels better with 1:1 consider offering classes like that. Do not partner up your students with CPR or First Aid training. If you are able, have non latex gloves available for all skills practice. Do not have more students than you have manikins. Manikin to student ratio should be 1:1. For first aid skills, have students practice on themselves. With the finding the problem, have them use a manikin.
Also, please supply masks (bananas, scarves, hand made masks are acceptable), have students bring their own PPE, supply hand sanitizer, and bleach wipes. As always, practice universal precautions and common sense. If you do not feel well, have been around someone who does not feel well, are awaiting results for COVID 19, been around someone awaiting results, do not hold class. Inform students to follow the same guidelines.
If you are contacted for a class but do not feel comfortable teaching during this time, have the student contact the training center and we will either set up a class or give them information for another instructor.
Thanks for all y’all do!
This post is for all our instructors, or anyone interested in how CPR classes are being handled with COVID-19.
We hope you have been reading your emails from the American Heart Association in regards to classes. There is a grace period of at least 60 days for those expiring but at the discretion of their employers.
When teaching, you can have no more that 9 students at a time, regardless of the number of instructors available. Be sure you are able to space them at least 3 feet apart. (We recommend 6) Wipe down your surfaces before and after class. DO NOT USE mouth to mouth or the insertable lungs. Only a mask with personal use one-way-valves or pocket masks that the student takes with them afterward are permitted. A BVM (bag mask) should be used during two rescuer resuscitation. You should also provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer for your students to use.
As an added precaution, you can seal your tests in page protectors placed inside plastic folders. This way you can wipe them clean with the appropriate disinfectant wipes.
IF YOU ARE USING THE FOAM MANNIKINS!! You must immediately discard any that have tears, missing chunks or damage to the foam. This provides a hiding/breeding ground for bacteria and viruses. You cannot repair them with duct tape or glue. If you are able, we highly recommend purchasing the new mannikins with the feed back built in. They are made from a rubber material that is easily cleaned. Also, be sure to wipe down your mannikins on all sides AS SOON AS SKILLS ARE OVER. Allow them to air dry before you put them away.
If you receive a message from someone needing a class you do not feel comfortable teaching, please refer them to a fellow instructor or facility that is still offering classes. Some employers are firing or suspending expired employees without pay.
Please be safe and cautious during this time. Practice good hygiene and use universal precautions.
Always a fun time with this group! Making BLS for Healthcare Providers fun and easy. Thanks for having us back 😊
Thank you Golden Mountain Ministries for letting us come teach your homeschoolers CPR today!
PSA! Some simple actions you can take to help reduce the spread of germs. If you have a cold, sneeze or cough, please wear a mask if you have to go to the doctor or out in public. Sneeze into the bend of your elbow. Do not touch your T-zone. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds (being mindful to scrub the whole hand and under fingernails), use an alcohol based hand sanitizer, wipe surface with a bleach based cleaner and practice good hygiene! And most importantly, if you feel ill, stay home!
We are saddened and heartbroken by the lives and homes lost and the devastation in our community from the recent storms. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those around middle TN.
