The following is a statement from the Cookeville mayor, Ricky Shelton.

“The AT&T outage continues to impact 911 services in Putnam County. We are receiving frequent updates from AT&T but do not have an estimation of the time to have services restored.

Putnam County 911 has issued emergency alerts (which many of you have received) to try and get backup emergency numbers in your hands. For emergency calls, use (931) 261-6219 or (931) 646-HELP (4357).
