Awesome news - Cuba!!!!

11/09/2026

Since 2008, the Nacimiento Community Foundation has been carrying the conversation to help improve pedestrian safety along our busiest roadways through the initiative.

The work of our volunteers brought improvements to include a pilot project of accessible sidewalks on US-550 Main Street, but there is more to do.

Be a part of the change you seek in your neighborhood!

Here are some easy ways to get started:

1. Drop us a note to find out ways you can be involved, https://www.nacimientofoundation.org/contact-us

2. Support the work of your local public safety organizations like CUBA FIRE and Cuba, NM Police Department

3. Learn how to advocate for road safety policy with the New Mexico Public Health Association on Sept. 15th, https://www.nmpha.org/event-6827809

4. Attend your Village Of Cuba, NM Council Meetings to stay informed about planned projects funded with taxpayer dollars

5. PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY!!
