I can hardly believe I'm finally saying this, but tomorrow my new book, COME BACK TO YOUR SENSES, is officially being released! ❤️

This book has been such a labor of love. It brings together so many of the things I'm most passionate about — wellness, architecture, design, music, beauty, spirituality, and the incredible ways our senses shape how we experience the world.

At its heart, Come Back to Your Senses is about something I think we could all use a little more of: slowing down long enough to actually experience the lives we're living.

We spend so much of our time thinking about yesterday, worrying about tomorrow, and rushing through today that we sometimes forget to simply be present.

Through stunning imagery, personal reflections, affirmations, and sensory rituals, this book explores six pathways back to ourselves:

*Intuition, Inner Knowing, and Learning to Trust Yourself Again*

Have you ever known something before you could explain why you knew it?

When I was fifteen, I woke up one morning with an overwhelming feeling that I should not go to work that night. There was no obvious reason. Nothing had happened. I simply felt: "don’t be there tonight."

I asked a friend to cover my shift.

That evening, the restaurant was robbed, and she was held at gunpoint at the register where I almost certainly would have been standing.

I’ve thought about that experience for years—not because I believe every uneasy feeling is a psychic warning, but because it introduced me very early to something I would spend much of my adult life learning to distrust:

Sometimes we know something before we know why we know it.*

In Episode 7 of The Sensorium Podcast, I explore intuition without turning it into superstition, prediction, or magical certainty.

We talk about:

• the difference between *intuition and fear
• why some of us learn to distrust ourselves
• how the body can register information before the analytical mind catches up
• intuition as pattern recognition—and the mystery that may exist beyond it
• separating signal, story, facts, fear, and desire
• tarot without surrendering your agency
• simple rituals for rebuilding self-trust
• and an extended guided practice for listening to your own inner signal

One of the ideas at the heart of this episode is something I’ve had to learn personally:

Self-trust does not mean believing you are always right.

It means listening honestly to what you perceive, comparing it with reality, gathering the facts, and trusting yourself to respond when new information arrives.

Intuition doesn’t have to predict your future.

Sometimes it simply whispers:

Pay attention.

And maybe the real practice is learning not to immediately talk yourself out of what you already know.
