Pandemic is pushing America’s 911 system to ‘breaking point,’ ambulance operators say
Surging demand, financial strain are leaving ambulance corps exhausted and running out of funds.

On today's COVID-19 briefing with the media, MEDIC EMS and Moline Fire Department described the challenges and stress local emergency medical services (EMS) providers are under due to the COVID-19 pandemic. #TogetherQC
Highlights:
-- Continued increases in case counts continue to put stress on the supplies and staff of EMS.
--If spread continues at this rapid pace, providers fear further stress on the EMS system, which could impact response times.
-- If you have COVID-19 and are caring for yourself at home, do not hesitate to call for 9-1-1 assistance if your symptoms worsen and you need help.
--Mask up - stay home when sick - keep the circle of individuals you are around small.
