One of Iowa’s six designated Area Agencies on Aging, Milestones provides older Iowans with a range of services in a seventeen-county area to help them
The core programs include helping people age 60+ remain independent by coordinating community based in-home care services and by providing a nutritious noon meal at Nutrition Centers or by home delivery. Family caregivers who are caring for an aging family member or friend can find unbiased guidance and information. Wellness classes are also available on managing chronic conditions and falls prevention. The Senior Medicare Patrol program educates seniors and family caregivers on the prevention of health care fraud and identity theft.
Milestones is part of the Life Long Links aging and disability resource network supplying links to local providers and helping Iowans evaluate their needs and make early decisions about long-term supports.
