You don’t have to read several chapters or understand every verse to find Jesus Christ in the Old Testament.

Start with one passage.

These 7 scriptures from this week’s Come, Follow Me reading testify of the life, mission, character, names, and Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Choose one passage to read each day, individually or with your family. As you read, ask yourself:

What does this teach me about Jesus Christ?

You might also consider:
What do I learn about His character or mission?
Why is this name or title of Christ used?
What does this teach me about His Atonement?
How can this truth help me today?

You don’t need to answer every question. Simply notice one thing that helps you know Jesus Christ a little better.

How are you finding Jesus in the Old Testament this week?

Save this post so you can return to one passage each day, and share it with a friend who wants a simple way to focus on Jesus Christ during Come, Follow Me study.

Do you ever wish you could see a little farther ahead?

Maybe you’re worried about one of your children. Maybe you’re facing a decision and praying for direction. Or maybe you’re tired, and opening your scriptures feels like one more thing you haven’t gotten to today.

This week’s name of Jesus Christ is **Light of the World**, and I’m thinking about what His light can mean in those moments.

We may want the whole path lit up. Sometimes, we receive enough light to take the next step.

One verse that helps us remember Him.
A quiet impression to reach out to someone.
A reminder of something we already know but need to hear again.

You don’t have to work through every study resource in these slides to have a meaningful moment with Him. Choose one. Read the scripture, listen to the hymn, or sit with a reflection question.

Then carry this simple prayer into your week:

“Jesus, help me recognize Thy light today.”

As we take His name upon ourselves, we can also consider how to share His light. A kind response. A listening ear. A small act of love in our own home.

Where in your life are you hoping for a little more light this week? 💜

40-Day General Conference Challenge DAY 37
TALK: "Keys, Covenants, and Easter" by Quentin L. Cook

QUOTE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST:
"As an Apostle, I bear my sure and certain witness of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, who leads His Church. I testify of His Atonement and Resurrection and rejoice with you on this special Easter Sunday for all that the Savior has accomplished that we might have eternal life." -Quentin L. Cook

SCRIPTURE:
"And behold, he said unto them: Behold, I give unto you a sign; for five years more cometh, and behold, then cometh the Son of God to redeem all those who shall believe on his name." -Helaman 14:2

40-Day General Conference Challenge DAY 35
TALK: "Eternal Marriage Is an Eternal Journey" by Neil L. Andersen

QUOTE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST:
"Following the Savior’s incomparable love and sacrifice offered in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, His lifeless body was securely sealed in a borrowed tomb. But the tomb could not contain the divine Son of God. 'Why seek ye the living among the dead?' the angels declared. 'He is not here, but is risen.' Because of our Savior’s victory over death and sin, we will praise His name forever."-Neil L. Andersen

SCRIPTURE:
“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” -Matthew 16:19

40-Day General Conference Challenge DAY 35

TALK: "Eternal Marriage Is an Eternal Journey" by Neil L. Andersen

INSPIRING QUOTE:
"Jesus Christ brought other immeasurable blessings. He said to His Apostle Peter, 'Whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven.' The sacred sealing power has been restored to the earth and is found today in His dedicated temples. President Gordon B. Hinckley said, 'If nothing else came out of all of the sorrow and travail and pain of the restoration than the sealing power of the holy priesthood to bind together families forever, it would have been worth all that it has cost.'" -Neil L. Andersen

INVITATION TO ACT:
"While embracing the happiness and sorrows of life’s experiences, we etch our covenants indelibly upon our souls, and we keep our eyes focused heavenward, toward the glorious destination awaiting us. We know the divine attributes we seek will not all be perfected in this life. Eternal marriage is an eternal journey." -Neil L. Andersen

PROMISED BLESSING:
"At that moment, kneeling across the altar, we have a growing realization of the depth of our commitment to God and to each other. The sacred ordinance binds us together with our eternal companion and with God. We solemnly vow to keep the covenants, and the Lord promises us, as we are faithful, unspeakable blessings in mortality and beyond, including thrones, powers, and dominions in the eternal world." -Neil L. Andersen

REFLECTION QUESTION:
What attributes of Christ have I acquired in my marriage relationship?

40-Day General Conference Challenge DAY 35

It's our FINAL Grace Day. 💜

Before you count how many talks you finished...
Before you notice the unchecked boxes...
Before you decide whether you “did well” on this challenge...

Look back at what God taught you.
Think about the quotes you saved.
The scriptures that stood out.
The questions you pondered.
The invitations you tried to follow.
The days you read an entire talk.
And the days when one sentence was enough.

Maybe you didn't read every talk.
That was never the most important part.
If you heard Him...
If you recognized something He wanted you to know...
If you felt prompted to change, remember, begin, trust, or act...
these 40 days mattered. 💜

Today, REVISIT, CATCH UP, or REST.

And ask yourself:
What has the Lord taught me during these 35 days?
What do I want to carry with me into General Conference?

What name of Jesus Christ do you need to remember this week?

This week, I’m studying the name FIRST AND LAST.

We often want to see the whole plan before we take the next step.
We want to know how a difficult season will end, whether our efforts will make a difference, or how all the unfinished pieces will come together.

But Jesus Christ is the First and the Last.
He was there before the beginning. He already knows the ending. And He is with us in the middle, even when we cannot see what comes next.

Remembering this name helps me trust that my limited view is not the whole story. I can take one small step toward Him today without knowing exactly where it will lead.

Maybe that step is reading one verse, saying a simple prayer, beginning again after missing a few days, or trusting Him with something you cannot resolve on your own.

You don’t need to study everything on these slides today. Choose one scripture phrase, one line from the hymn, or one thought from the quote to carry with you.

As you swipe through, consider:
What beginning, ending, or unfinished part of my life can I trust the First and the Last with this week?

Is there a name of Jesus Christ you would love to see featured? Leave it in the comments, and I’ll add it to my list.

40-Day General Conference Challenge DAY 34

TALK: “Here Am I, Send Me” by Susan H. Porter

INSPIRING QUOTE:
"Heavenly Father loves His children so much that He wants each of us to receive all the blessings He enjoys. Before we came to earth, He shared with us His plan of happiness. As part of His plan, we would need to come to earth, gain a body, and choose to live His loving commandments. Then we could return to live with Him and our families in joy and peace." -Susan H. Porter

INVITATION TO ACT:
"I invite you to pray to Heavenly Father and say, like Jesus did, 'Here am I, send me.' And then move forward, walking with Him to bring yourself and others to Christ. '[You] are cov’nant children with a gift to give.'” -Susan H. Porter

PROMISED BLESSING:
"I bear my witness that God, our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, love you. Because of Heavenly Father’s plan and Jesus Christ’s Atonement, all of us can receive the blessing of living joyfully forever with our families in Their presence. I love Them and I love you." -Susan H. Porter

REFLECTION QUESTION:
What has the Lord sent me here to do?
