". . . a nice way to increase compassion." I already am a fan of Pete Holmes', but this put him over the top for me.

I was just asked what would I tell my 20 yo self if I could. Never thought about it before. My answer surprised me, having heard that conversation so many times by others. My response was: nothing. I would tell my younger self nothing. One has to have the experiences, the lessons - the voyage itself is what leads to growth. Now that I've got that settled, I'm off . . .

The Deep End
When's the last time you had a conversation that actually meant something?

We're not talking weather, not weekend plans. Rather, the conversation that gets under your skin in the best way — that makes you think, makes you feel seen, and leaves you more connected to yourself and the people around you.

That's what The Deep End is. And yes, we go there — not off the deep end, but into it. Where the real questions live. Where the mystery is. Where something in you that rarely gets a voice can spring free.

The second Tuesday of every month in De Pere, a small group of people gather to talk about the things that actually matter — the inner life, what connects us as human beings, what it means to show up fully in the world.

Just honest, open conversation where you'll be heard as much as you hear others. We'd love to have you join us.

Held by Kaaren Thomas.

Second Tuesdays | Doors open 5:30 PM | 6–7 PM | Free | De Pere

You know where I need skill-development? Keeping up with social media; I'm so happily busy living my life I neglect doing the "work" side of having a business, albeit a service business which is therefore not really work but love. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled, upcoming events/classes/retreat: . Lots of "the's", hmmm . . .

As part of my own healing journey, I recently asked to see more birds. My heart almost stopped when I glanced and saw these two headed right toward me (took a sec to get the camera) - for some reason I adore sandhill cranes. I am blessed. As are you!

Attended a concert this morning, all by myself. Literally by myself, no one else was there. I have never heard the wind in the trees like I did today. Each species - birch, maple, oak... - a different instrument, a different sound. I stood there with closed eyes, sun and crows cawing over my left shoulder, letting it flow over me, embrace me, share the joy with me. I left my body for a moment, drawn in, connected. I feel it still.

May we all make music, standing in our spot, in ourSelves, a universal melody in love and appreciation for Creator and Creation.

(video not mine)

The effect of wind swaying the birch tree sounds almost like waves ...
