"Is it even legal to sell my extra test strips?" We hear this a lot, and it's a fair question. Generally, yes: if you own unopened supplies you paid for yourself or through private insurance, they can be resold in most circumstances. The important exception is supplies that came through Medicare, Medicaid or any other government assistance program. Those can't legally be resold, and we don't buy them. When you sell to us, you confirm your supplies didn't come from a government program.

Sorting through a loved one's things is hard enough. If that includes a cabinet of diabetic supplies, there's no rush, and nothing has to be decided today. When you're ready, boxes that are still factory-sealed and unexpired may be worth something, and they don't have to go in the trash. Supplies that came from Medicare, Medicaid or another government program can't be sold. If you're not sure what you have, call us at 1-888-428-2050 and a real person will walk through it with you.

Here's the part of your payout you actually control: the condition your boxes arrive in. Cosmetic damage takes an additional 50% off, and boxes that arrive opened or torn can't be accepted at all — so it's worth an extra minute before you tape it shut. Cushion your boxes with tissue paper or newspaper so they don't rattle around, use a sturdy outer box if you're shipping your own, and leave every manufacturer seal intact. The box you send us usually still has a pharmacy label on it — your name, your address — and people ask us what happens to that. Here is the plain answer: any personal information on a shipped box is destroyed before processing, and we never share your contact details with third parties. You don't need to scrub the box yourself, either. Leaving labels alone actually protects your payout, because peeling at them can damage the box, and our team removes the personal information once your package reaches us.
