Microneedling is one of those treatments that earns its place in a long-term skin plan. 🪞

By creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin, microneedling encourages the body’s natural healing response and supports collagen and elastin production over time.

That makes it a versatile option for concerns like uneven texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring, fine lines, and overall skin quality, with relatively minimal downtime.

For patients who want gradual improvement without dramatically changing their routine, this can be a really smart place to start.

Not every skin concern needs resurfacing. Sometimes the issue is what you’re seeing in the mirror: redness, sun spots, uneven pigmentation, or that lingering “summer happened” look. ☀️

IPL Photofacial uses targeted light energy to address visible discoloration and redness while helping create a clearer, more even-looking complexion over time. It can be a great option for patients dealing with mild to moderate sun damage, brown spots, or diffuse redness.

Think brighter, calmer, more even skin without changing what makes your skin look like yours.

Can you still have a facelift after a thread lift? Yes! 😮

There’s a lot of conflicting information online about this, but one of the most valuable takeaways from advanced thread training in Korea was hearing directly from plastic surgeons and dermatologists who routinely use both.

Thread lifts can be a great option for younger patients, for people who aren’t ready for surgery, and even for some patients who have already had a facelift and want additional support as those surgical results evolve over time.

The important part is timing.

If you’re seriously planning facial surgery within the next couple of years, it may make more sense to save your investment for surgery. But if surgery isn’t on your radar anytime soon, threads can still have a role in creating subtle lift, stimulating collagen, and supporting natural-looking results.

It’s not about choosing one forever. It’s about choosing the right treatment for the stage you’re in.

Two weeks post thread lift, and things are settling in beautifully. ✨

If you’ve been following this series, this treatment was performed in Seoul by Dr. So-hyun Park of Samsung B&S Clinic while I was there with HansBiomed for advanced thread training.

At the two-week mark, most of the swelling and bruising has resolved. There’s still a little lingering discoloration under the eyes and minimal swelling through the forehead, but overall everything is feeling tight and healing well.

I’m already seeing some subtle improvement through the brows and nasolabial folds, but this is still early. Thread lift results continue to evolve as the tissue settles and collagen remodeling develops over the following weeks.

The more meaningful comparison comes closer to the 6–8 week mark, so I’ll be sharing a full before + after once we get there. 👀

Making regular deposits into the collagen bank. 💸

We love treatments that support gradual, natural-looking improvement over time. Depending on the treatment, collagen-stimulating options can help improve skin quality, firmness, and structural support by encouraging your body’s own remodeling process.

The key is choosing the right treatment for the right concern and giving it time to work.

Why treat just one concern when the right combination can address several (and save you time!)? 🧩

Some aesthetic treatments pair beautifully because they work in completely different ways. Neurotoxin can soften dynamic lines, filler can restore or refine volume, and treatments like microneedling or chemical peels can focus on texture, tone, and overall skin quality.

That means, for the right patient, combining treatments in one visit can be both efficient and incredibly intentional. Even something as simple as adding an appropriate chemical peel to a tox appointment can help you work toward multiple goals without adding another trip to the calendar.

The key isn’t doing more. It’s choosing treatments that complement one another and building the combination around your skin, anatomy, and goals.

A look back at Day 4 of my thread lift recovery in Seoul ✨

If you’ve been following this series, I’ve already shared the earlier stages of healing. This was another real-time checkpoint from that trip, showing what recovery looked like just a few days after treatment.

At this point, I was feeling really good overall. There was still some tightness, mild swelling, bruising around both eyes, and a little tenderness in certain areas, but the discomfort was very manageable.

One of the reasons I wanted to share this series is because recovery is part of the treatment too. Threads are not just about the immediate result. There’s healing, tissue adjustment, and continued collagen stimulation that happens over time.

This was filmed on my final day in Seoul during the HansBiomed + MINT™ PDO training experience, after having my thread lift performed by Dr. So-hyun Park of Samsung B&S Clinic.

A huge thank you to , HansBiomed, Dr. Park, and the team at Samsung B&S Clinic for such an incredible experience and for sharing their expertise so generously. 🤍

Stay tuned for more of the progression as everything continues to settle.

“Can I get microneedling and my neurotoxin treatment at the same appointment?” 👀

Yes, you can.

This is one of the questions we hear all the time, especially from patients who worry that microneedling might interfere with Botox, Dysport, or Daxxify.

The sequence matters: microneedling is performed first, then neurotoxin is treated afterward as usual.

For the right patient, combining both in one visit can be a great way to address skin quality and expression lines while keeping your treatment schedule a little more efficient.

Your under-eyes can tell a lot of different stories, and not every concern should be treated the same way. 👁️

PRF can be a beautiful option for patients looking to improve:

✨ Hollowing
✨ Fine lines + crepey texture
✨ Thinning skin
✨ Loss of firmness
✨ A tired or shadowed appearance

Because PRF uses your own platelet-rich fibrin, the goal is to support collagen production and improve the quality of the tissue over time rather than simply masking the concern.

The most important part is understanding what’s actually causing the issue first. Under-eye treatment is never one-size-fits-all, and the right approach depends on your anatomy, skin quality, and individual goals.

If your under-eyes have been bothering you, book a consultation and we’ll help determine whether PRF is the right fit. 🤍 https://app.joinmoxie.com/booking/balanced-aesthetics

Day 2 after my thread lift in Seoul ✨

A little bruising, some minor swelling, and most of the tenderness is concentrated around my forehead where we focused more heavily, but overall I’m really happy with how everything is looking so far.

Having the treatment performed by Dr. So-Hyun Park of Samsung B&S Clinic while I was in Seoul with HansBiomed for advanced MINT™ PDO thread training gave me the opportunity to experience these techniques firsthand, not just learn them from the provider side. I’m incredibly grateful to , Dr. Park, and the entire team for the experience.

And if you’ve been curious about threads, this is a great week to explore them. We’re offering an introductory PDO Thread Lift special for $1,800 for appointments booked this week, using the Korean techniques I recently trained in.

Stay tuned for more of the healing process 👀
