Invincible We activate self healing for our health-seeking patients, by taking people on a movement journey. Every athlete wants to feel INVINCIBLE.

We provide their ENTIRE body with improved movement through manual therapy & the tools they need to continue optimal movement outside of our clinic. To feel like they can accomplish whatever they want. To become invincible, every athlete must know how to prepare their body in a way that allows them to move properly. They must use this movement to help them perform to their best ability, in whatever fitness/sport they choose. They also must be able to give their body TLC in order to recover properly, either from their athletic task or if an injury comes up. This is where I (Dr. Missy Albrecht) can help....

I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from Mount St. Mary's College and was certified through the NSCA in 2008 as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. With a background in coaching soccer and doing personal training at all levels, she received her CrossFit Level 1 and Mobility certification, and began to coach CrossFit in 2010. I have experience working in various outpatient orthopedic clinics, as well as working with athletes on-site at CrossFit Southbay and currently at CrossFit Colfax. Additional areas of study:

- Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (trained through Graston)

- Visceral Functional Mobilization

- Rock Doc - FMT 1 & 2 2013

- Functional Movement Screen - Level 1 certified 2010

- Yoga Tune Up

- Mobility WOD - mobility certified 2010

My goal is to empower athletes with the knowledge they need to become their version of invincible, allowing them to accomplish any goals they set their minds to.

Every pregnancy and every body is different, so we can't make any guarantees on how mom and baby will respond. But here is our intention when supporting you in the 3rd trimester 🤍

Above all, we aim to create space for this beautiful process to unfold as smoothly as possible. That space can support baby's growth, labor and delivery (and it's still helpful if a C-section happens), and mom's recovery afterward.

Our physical therapists in Lakewood, Colorado would love to support you and baby through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery with gentle manual therapy. Book at the link in our bio.

Dealing with bloating, constipation, or general gut discomfort? Our Digestive Health movement class is a gentle place to start. 🌀

In this clip, we’re using the Coregeous ball to gently warm up the abdomen, resting it between the ribcage and pelvis while breathing into the belly.

This slow, supported pressure can help the abdominal wall and fascia soften, giving the digestive system space to settle and potentially easing bloating, constipation, and general discomfort.

If you’re looking for guided, at-home classes that combine physical therapy, visceral manipulation, and movement to address the root cause of pain and restriction, our online movement library is designed to help you move with more ease.

This foundational exercise is a great entry point for stabilizing your torso and pelvis while encouraging quiet, restful breathing.

🦵Setup:
- Lie on your back, feet flat on the wall, hips and knees at 90 degrees.
- Gently squeeze a yoga block or ball between your knees and keep your spine neutral.
- Act as if you’re dragging your feet down the wall to lock in your alignment.

🫁 Breathing:
- Relax your neck and take a soft inhale.
- Follow with a long, slow exhale, longer than your inhale.
- Hands on your side ribs help you feel the expansion and recoil.

If recommended, you can try about 5 breaths, 2–3 times a day.

Feeling tension in your neck or upper chest? Watch the full video on YouTube for the “T” variation. 🎥

Most athletes stretch, foam roll, and mobilize their muscles… and never think about their organs. 🫀

But organ mobility plays a real role in how your body moves, performs, and recovers — and when it’s restricted, it can show up as tightness or injuries that never seem to resolve.

We put together a free guide breaking down exactly how this works and what you can do about it. Link in bio to grab your copy. 👆

Most office chairs have contoured, uneven seats that tilt your pelvis out of a neutral position — a flat chair/stool lets your sit bones rest evenly, so your spine can stack the way it's supposed to.

We like using a taller stool at our standing desk for the following reasons:

1️⃣ Active sitting — A stool has no backrest to lean into, so your core and postural muscles stay switched on all day instead of shutting off. Also, it's not that comfortable after a while (no cushy seat) so you get up and move more often😎

2️⃣ Foot rest — Place it in front of you to prop your feet up, taking pressure off your low back and reducing funky standing posture positions as you get tired.

3️⃣ Built-in mobility — Use the stool as a surface to stretch your hips on! More micro-movement = less stiffness by 5pm.

If you've given up on your standing desk, try adding a tall stool and see how it goes — your body just may be a lot happier!

At Invincible Physical Therapy in Lakewood, Colorado, manual therapy is just one piece of the puzzle. We also look at how your everyday movement patterns may be contributing to your symptoms, helping you move with greater ease and feel your best.

We get this question a lot, and it's a great one. Your palate isn't just the top of your mouth. It's also the base of your nose and sinuses.👃

When we release tension with our hands, we want to work in 3D. That means using multiple contact points, ideally three. Sometimes that means a gentle contact inside the mouth along with the top of the head. Other times we'll hold the head and upper jaw while you press your tongue into the roof of your mouth. That extra point of contact helps us unravel tension more fully.

Everything is connected, even the parts you'd never think of. 🙌

Our physical therapists in Lakewood, Colorado use neural, vascular, and visceral manipulation, including gentle work at the palate, to ease head, jaw, and sinus tension.

I had this realization recently: the double Coregeous Ball techniques actually mimic some of what we’re doing with our hands in the clinic 👀

When we work with our hands, we’re often using two hands + either our body or asking the patient to move. That creates multiple directions of pressure and movement at once — giving us three dimensions of treatment.

Using two Coregeous Balls can create a similar concept for self-myofascial release 😎

🎾 Check out YouTube → → Playlists → How to Pair 2 Coregeous Balls for more ways to use them!

At Invincible Physical Therapy in Lakewood, CO, we use hands-on manual therapy alongside intentional movement to help you better understand and support your body.

When you’re spending more time curled up on the couch or sitting in a chair because you don’t feel your best, it’s not uncommon for your hips to start feeling tight, too.

In this clip from our PMS + Hormone Support class, we’re working through a gentle hip flexor stretch.

This is just one of the ways we move through the class. We also explore gentle abdominal massage, breathwork, supported positions, and other techniques to help you feel more comfortable and supported during your cycle. 🌙🧘‍♀️

If you're looking for guided, at-home classes that blend physical therapy, visceral manipulation, and movement, our online movement library is designed to help you understand where your body may be holding tension and explore ways to create more ease.
