When was the last time you gave yourself permission to dream?
Not a quick daydream. A real one. Where you actually sat with a version of yourself and your life that feels different from where you are right now and let yourself feel what that might be like.
Most of us don't do this because we're too busy. And too realistic. And too afraid of wanting something we might not get.
But here's what neuroscience actually tells us β the brain cannot distinguish between what is real and what is vividly imagined.
Which means when you allow yourself to really feel into a new version of your life β your nervous system starts to respond as if it's already happening. Your brain begins to rewire itself. Old thought loops that have been keeping you stuck start to loosen. New neural pathways form. And your mind starts unconsciously looking for ways to make that imagined future real.
That's not magic. That's neuroplasticity.
But it only works if you give yourself the space to actually dream first.
So this week β even just for five minutes β close your eyes. Breathe. And ask yourself: who do I want to be? What does that feel like in my body? What becomes possible if I actually believe it?
Your future self is waiting for you to make room for them π.
What would you dream up if you really let yourself?
