Thanks to a Community Parent Resource Center grant award from the US Office of Special Education Programs, our services and supports to northern Virginia’s foster, adoptive and kinship families raising children and youth with disabilities will continue another 5 years! This award provides critical operational support for our work, offering training, family events, consultation, resource navigation, peer support groups, and products free of cost to formed families throughout the region.

It is an honor to work and walk with families, youth and professional partners as we “move forward to better outcomes” together.

Exciting news! FFF, in partnership with Virginia Department of Education Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) at George Mason University and GLSEN Northern Virginia, is seeking family members to participate in a book study that will foster an understanding of how to support LGBTQ+ children and youth. Formed Families Together Support Groups

This summer, FFF launched new peer-led Formed Families Together support groups just for foster and adoptive parents and kinship caregivers.

Formed Families Together groups meet MONTHLY: an in-person group in Fairfax on 3rd Wednesday evenings and a virtual group on 1st Sunday evenings of the month. Parents and caregivers can register for and participate in either or both groups.
