Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for our 2026 Legislative Event: A Look at Wisconsin’s 2026 Election!

We were fortunate to hear an excellent presentation from Mark Grapentine of the Wisconsin Medical Society, who provided valuable insight into Wisconsin’s upcoming election, the candidates and races to watch, key statewide issues, and the role of physicians in public office.

Thank you to Mark for sharing his expertise and helping attendees better understand the political landscape and its implications for healthcare and public policy in Wisconsin. We also appreciate everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion!

NAMI Fox Valley, 2026 recipient of our Foundation's Charles W. Landis, MD, Memorial Fund used the grant for their youth mental health education program. The training aims to teach students that mental health conditions are medical and treatable.

The Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation is excited to partner with physicians and UW DOC students to host an interactive booth during the Wisconsin Science Fest Discovery Science Expo on Tuesday, October 20. Youth of all ages will have an opportunity to touch real organs and ask questions with the physicians and physicians-in-training! Last year, over 1,100 curious students learned about healthy living habits.

Joshua Mezrich, MD, UW Health transplant surgeon and author of 'When Death Becomes Life' and 'Every Living Creature: How Xenotransplantation Will Change Our Lives,' will participate in a book talk this Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Madison Central Library, as a part of Wisconsin Science Festival.
