🦴 Little bones. Big adventures!

Today is World Pediatric Bone and Joint Day! Growing bodies do incredible things. Did you know?

🦴 Children’s long bones grow at special areas called growth plates, which eventually harden into solid bone.

🏃 Bones are living tissue! Activities like running and jumping help them grow stronger.

🥛 Calcium and vitamin D are a team. Calcium helps build strong bones, and vitamin D helps the body absorb it!

🚑 WORLD TRAUMA DAY 🩸

Severe bleeding can become life threatening in minutes. Your actions before EMS arrives could save a life.

📞 Make sure the scene is safe and call 911.
🖐️ Press firmly on the wound with gauze or a clean cloth. Keep steady pressure without lifting to check.
🩸 For life threatening arm or leg bleeding, apply a commercial tourniquet if trained. Tighten until bleeding stops and do not loosen it.

Take a STOP THE BLEED course. Be prepared to make a difference. ❤️
