Let’s be real — when most people hear “dietitian,” they picture someone handing them a sad piece of celery and a 10-page list of foods they can NEVER eat again. 😅🥬

👋 Hi, I’m Stacy I’m a culinary cancer dietitian who helps thrivers and survivors nourish their bodies, feel strong, and make food simple.

Every day, I share tips, meal ideas, and nutrition guidance to help you thrive during treatment and beyond!

That’s NOT what we’re doing here.

I became a dietitian because I genuinely love food (yes, ALL food) and I hated watching people stress, obsess, and feel guilty over every single bite they took.

Life is too short for that, and honestly? It doesn’t even work.

So here’s what working with me actually looks like:
✅ No food is off limits
✅ No guilt trips, no lectures, no drama
✅ Just straight talk, real strategies, and a whole lot of “wait, this is actually doable”

I’m the dietitian who’s going to tell you the truth, make you laugh, and help you figure out how to eat in a way that actually fits YOUR life — not some perfect version of it.

Food is supposed to be fun. Eating is supposed to feel good. And getting nutrition advice shouldn’t feel like a punishment.

If you’re tired of the diet culture noise and you’re ready for a no-nonsense, zero-stress approach that you can actually stick to — you’re in the right place. 👇

Drop a 🙋 in the comments if you’re ready to stop stressing about food, or send me a DM and let’s chat. I promise I won’t make you eat celery. 🥬❌😂

All jokes aside—going to the bathroom regularly is a BIG deal.
It tells us so much about what’s going on inside your body 💛
Not going? 🚫Going too much? 🚽Struggling? 😣

Your body is trying to tell you something.
After and during cancer treatment, this matters even more.
Your digestion can change. Your gut can feel off. Things might not be as “regular” as they used to be—and that’s your sign to pay attention.

Because bowel movements aren’t just about “going”…
They’re about:✔️ hydration 💧✔️ fiber intake 🥦✔️ gut health 🦠✔️ how your body is handling food

So no, it’s not TMI. It’s actually really important info 👀

If things feel off, don’t ignore it.Don’t just “deal with it.”
Start noticing patterns.Start supporting your body.

Because when your gut feels better… you feel better 💛

👇Be honest—are you regular right now or struggling?

Sometimes people mean well, but the constant “try this,” “don’t eat that,” “you should do this” can feel overwhelming fast 😵‍💫

Here’s your reminder:
You get to decide what goes into your body 🍽️
You get to choose what feels right for YOU 💗
Not every voice needs a seat at your table 🚫
Protect your peace 🧘‍♀️ Protect your energy ⚡

And if you need words, here are a few simple things you can say back 👇

“Thanks, I’ve got a plan I’m following.”

“I’m working with my care team on this.”

“I’m focusing on what feels good for my body right now.”

“I’m not looking for advice, but I appreciate you caring.”

“I’ll let you know if I need input.”

Save this for the next time someone gets a little too opinionated 💗

You’re finally enjoying your food again… and then someone says,“you shouldn’t be eating that.” 😣

Chocolate 🍫
Meat 🍗
Milk 🥛
Sugar 🍰

Here’s the thing—after cancer, food already feels complicated.
So when people throw out random “don’t eat that” advice, it can bring back fear FAST.

But let’s get real for a second

There is NO single food that makes or breaks your health.
Not one bite. Not one meal. Not one ingredient.

What matters is your overall pattern… your nourishment… your consistency over time 💛

And also? Your JOY.

Because enjoying your food again is part of healing too 🫶

So if you’re sitting there eating something you like and that voice pops up…

Pause.

Ask yourself:➡️ Do I feel good eating this?➡️ Is this helping me stay nourished right now?

If the answer is yes… keep going.

You don’t need to earn your food. You don’t need to fear your food.

And you definitely don’t need to give up everything you enjoy to be healthy 💛

Food is meant to support you… not scare you.

Making your own dressing takes less than 2 minutes, tastes fresher, and lets you control exactly what goes into it.

My simple formula:
🥄 1 part acid (balsamic vinegar, apple c***r vinegar, red w**e vinegar, or lemon juice)
🫒 3 parts extra virgin olive oil
🌿 Add your favorite herbs, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.

Love creamy dressings? Skip the heavy mayo and use plain Greek yogurt as the base instead. It creates a rich, creamy dressing while adding protein.

Simply mix Greek yogurt with lemon juice or vinegar, herbs, garlic, and your favorite seasonings. Add a splash of water or milk until it reaches your desired consistency.

Shake or whisk everything together and pour it over your favorite salad.
🥬 Bonus: The healthy fats from olive oil help your body absorb fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K found in vegetables.

As a culinary dietitian, I see so many breast cancer thrivers afraid to eat sugar, bread, or their favorite comfort meals… all because of misinformation and fear.

🥺 But here’s the truth: restriction can do more harm than good.
You need fuel, flexibility, and food freedom—not guilt.

This post breaks down some of the most common myths I hear from clients and shows what you can focus on instead.

Let’s take the fear off your plate and bring joy back to the table. 💕

Someone told you to give up coffee after a cancer diagnosis? ☕️
You don’t automatically have to.

Coffee contains polyphenols and other bioactive compounds that may have health benefits. Research has also found associations between coffee consumption and a lower risk of liver and endometrial cancers, and some evidence suggests benefits for colorectal cancer as well.

For people who have already had cancer, research is also looking at coffee’s possible role in outcomes and recurrence—but the evidence isn’t strong enough to say coffee prevents cancer from coming back.
And here’s something we often forget:

The coffee isn’t always where the calories are. 👀

It’s what you add to it.
Cream.
Sugar.
Flavored syrups.
Sweetened creamers.

So instead of thinking, “I have cancer. I have to give up coffee,” look at the whole picture.
I
f you enjoy your morning coffee and your treatment team hasn’t given you a reason to avoid it, you may not need to give it up.

☕️ Are you a coffee drinker? What’s in your cup?

Flavorfully yours,
Stacy 🍍

A cancer diagnosis was never meant to mean you have to eat perfectly. ❤️

But suddenly, food can feel like another test you have to pass.
No sugar.
No carbs.
No dairy.
No processed foods.
Only organic.
Only “anti-cancer” foods.

And you start thinking, “If I don’t eat perfectly, am I doing something wrong?”

No.

Cancer nutrition isn’t about finding the perfect diet. It’s about getting the nourishment your body needs, working with your symptoms, and building healthy habits you can actually live with.

Some days you’ll eat a beautiful, nourishing meal.
Other days, you might eat toast, cereal, takeout, or dessert.
That doesn’t mean you failed.

And honestly? Sometimes what you need isn’t another Google search.

You need people in your corner.

That’s why I created Collective. 💛

Collective is for cancer thrivers who want to stop second-guessing every bite and finally feel more confident about food.
Inside, you can get:
🥗 Practical cancer nutrition guidance
🍽️ Simple meal ideas you can actually use
👩‍🍳 Recipes that make nourishing food taste GOOD
💡 Strategies for common treatment-related food challenges
❓ A place to ask the questions you’re afraid to ask
🤝 Support and connection from others who understand

No fear-mongering.
No rigid food rules.
No pressure to eat perfectly.
Just real support for real life with cancer.
Because you have enough to think about.

Let’s make food one thing that feels a little easier.

Comment “COLLECTIVE” if you’re ready for support that helps you feel confident—not confused—about food.

Flavorfully yours,
Stacy 🍍

“Sugar feeds cancer.” 👀

Have you heard that before?

Let’s clear this up in a friendly, no-fear way. 💛

Yes, cancer cells use glucose for energy — but so do ALL of your cells. Your brain, muscles, organs… they all rely on glucose to function. When you eat carbs (including fruit and whole grains), your body breaks them down into glucose because that’s its preferred fuel source.

Here’s the important part: you cannot “starve” cancer by cutting out sugar. Your body is smart. Even if you stop eating sugar, it will make glucose from other sources.

What actually matters?

Your overall lifestyle. Diets consistently high in excess added sugars and ultra-processed foods can contribute to obesity and inflammation — and those can increase cancer risk over time. But that’s very different from saying a cookie directly “feeds” a tumor.

Nutrition isn’t about fear. It’s about balance, consistency, and the big picture. 🍓✨

If you’ve heard the phrase “sugar feeds cancer” before, comment SUGAR below 👇

Let’s see how common this myth really is.

Flavorfully yours,
Stacy🍍
