Thankful for our Mayor and his work in trying to keep us open!
The latest closure of businesses by the Governor has taken some businesses and individuals out at the knees. Some businesses have been able to limp along with outside enterprises, even in our heat. Our barbers and salons have been specifically prohibited from operating outside by the State. Yesterday, I sent a letter to the Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs, the agency with oversight of the Board of Barbering and Cosemotogy, imploring her to permit outdoor operations for their licensees. A bureacracy that does not protect the businesses and their customers needs the "reform" I hear so much about lately. Otherwise, these good citizens should "protest poverty" and conduct their businesses.
