AI adoption is accelerating. So are the responsibilities that come with it.
Federal agencies are advancing AI adoption alongside requirements for governance, safeguards, responsible acquisition, and public trust. States are developing different approaches to transparency, consumer protection, discrimination, automated decisions, and high-risk uses. At the same time, NIST has established foundational post-quantum cryptography standards and is encouraging organizations to begin their transition.
These developments are often discussed separately, yet they share a fundamental challenge: How do we establish trust in an increasingly intelligent and interconnected world?
“Never let ‘what the AI knows’ automatically become ‘what the AI should trust.’”
— Bill Edwards
Our inaugural Strategic Perspectives™ No. 1, developed by Unity Impact Partners and Qrypto Federal, explores this convergence:
The Trust Imperative: Governing AI and Preparing for the Post-Quantum Transition
The perspective examines what these developments mean for organizational leadership and how evidence, authority, governance, and accountability can inform practical decisions, coordinated action, and long-term readiness.
