A little sneak peek into Teddy’s expanding wardrobe!

Apparently, passing your AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test means you’re ready to enter your fashion icon era.

Today’s look? A dapper little dinosaur collared shirt. Because nothing says distinguished young gentleman quite like prehistoric creatures on business casual attire.

And this is just the BEGINNING. Teddy’s closet is about to have more outfit changes than a Taylor Swift concert.

Stay tuned… the Teddy Fall Fashion Collection is coming!

Fresh Cut, New Wardrobe, WHO DIS?!

Theodore Albus Severus Darcy has officially entered his poodle fashionista era!

Freshly sculpted poodle face. Fancy poodle feet. Fluff perfectly fluffed. A whole new wardrobe arriving this weekend.

Apparently, passing your AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test means you deserve an entire wardrobe upgrade.

Meanwhile, Molly, our retired Diabetes Alert Dog, is just happy she clocked out before HR introduced a mandatory dress code. 🤣

After years of faithfully reporting for duty, she's enjoying retirement knowing she NEVER has to dress up for work again.

Molly worked hard so Teddy could work in couture.

Stay tuned for Teddy's fall fashion collection. Apparently, we don't just train service dogs around here...we create fashion icons.

BREAKING NEWS: Teddy is officially a STAR!

Theodore Albus Severus Darcy has officially PASSED his AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test!

At just 8 months old, our little floofy chaos coordinator has earned his very first AKC recognition!

Behind those adorable curls and questionable life choices involving stolen socks and stuffing are months of training, patience, socialization, and LOTS of treats.

This is just the beginning of Teddy's journey toward becoming a Diabetes Alert Dog, and I couldn't be prouder of how far my little guy has come.

He's still very much a puppy, still occasionally powered by a single brain cell, but today he's a puppy with a MEDAL! 🏅🐩

Good boy, Teddy. The best adventures are still ahead!

POV: You have your AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test coming up, but you've decided to study the ancient art of doing absolutely NOTHING. 😂

Teddy has spent weeks practicing his sits, stays, leash manners, and focus… but apparently his pre-exam preparation involves lying upside down, airing out the family jewels, and trusting the universe.

Academic weapon? Debatable.
Professional goofball? Absolutely.
Confidence level? Unreasonably high.

Wish our little chaos noodle luck! (And that we don't get rained out!)

When you’re this low to the ground, a raincoat can only do so much.

Body? Dry.
Legs? Absolutely soaked.
Curls? Activated.
Teddy? Deeply questioning why work wasn’t canceled for inclement weather.

Apparently raincoats have a coverage limit. 😂

A day in the life of an AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. student:

First things first: the pre-class sniff walk. Because asking a baby poodle to focus when he arrives with a FULL tank of puppy energy is… optimistic. 😂

Then it’s time for school! Today we worked on:

🐾 Focus on Mom
🐾 Walking nicely on leash
🐾 Passing neutral dog friends without needing to say HELLO EVERYONE!!!
🐾 Staying engaged even when there are approximately 847 very important distractions happening around us

Is he perfect? Nope. Is he learning? Absolutely. And watching that little puppy brain figure out how to tune out the world and check back in with me is pretty darn cool.

One sniff, one step, and one “Teddy, focus!” at a time.

I wouldn't have it any other way. I havw to believe he is practicing waking me up when I am low or high.

Teddy’s very first Steelers game! 🖤💛

Sometimes it’s easy to forget how young he really is because he’s learning SO much, so fast. But then I look at that little face and remember… he’s just a baby.

A baby who is officially being raised to bleed black & gold. 😂🖤💛

✨ Carbs aren’t the villain. Context is. ✨
I’ll say it louder for the folks still side-eyeing beans 👀

Complex carbs + fiber + protein + healthy fat = blood sugar peace.

This Italian Bean Salad is proof that you don’t have to fear carbs to feel good in your body. Increasing my fiber and pairing it intentionally has been a total game-changer for my blood sugar, my relationship with food, and yes, slow, sustainable weight loss.

I’m a slow loser (and proud of it). This approach didn’t rush results, but it changed everything. No spikes. No crashes. Just nourishment that actually sticks.

🥗 Fresh, herby, salty-sweet, protein-packed
🫘 Beans doing the MOST (as they should)
🫒 Don’t skimp on the olive oil—it’s flavor and function
👇 Recipe below—save this one 👇

🥗 Italian Bean Salad
Toss together:
• 2 shallots, diced
• 2 bell peppers (red/yellow), diced
• 1 bunch flat-leaf parsley, chopped
• ¼ cup artichoke hearts (in water), chopped
• ¼ cup Kalamata olives, sliced
• 1 can cannellini beans, drained & rinsed
• 1 can pinto beans, drained & rinsed
(use whatever beans you have—this recipe is forgiving)
• ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes (not in oil), sliced
• 1 cup mini part-skim mozzarella balls
(or 4 Laughing Cow wedges, halved or quartered)
• Italian seasoning, to taste
Dressing (½–1 cup total):
Whisk together and pour over salad
• 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar (or ACV / white w**e vinegar)
• 6 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (the good stuff—worth it)
• 3 Tbsp lemon juice
• ¾ tsp Dijon mustard
• 1 Tbsp garlic (or 1–2 cloves, minced)
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¾ tsp Italian seasoning

🕒 Best after chilling 30–60 minutes
🍽️ Even better the next day
