The United Crown of America has chosen their runner-up beauty queens. I am not one of them, however I am excited for the women who may earn a national crown!
My desire as a beauty queen was to help with accessibility. I was able to donate 2 wheelchair ramps, and provide numerous aids to those around CT.
While I am not sure if I will do the beauty queen circuit again, I am happy I did and showed so many people that our disabilities are beautiful too.

I was privileged enough to help out (sorta) at a dig site for dinosaur tracks. I am usually only dealing with fossils to preserve them, not find them, so this was a real treat!
I also dug up 4 fossilized clams. I would have gotten more, but the site clammed up. (Sorry, not sorry).

My medical device does NOT ruin my impression.

I will keep posting this until it gets into everyone's head. Medical equipment is NOT easy to make a period item of. Wheelchairs cannot just be wooden, prosthetics cannot be easily recreated, medicine needed daily cannot be skipped for more accuracy. People who are disabled often are not rich. Stop harassing disabled folks to "hide" what they need and to hide themselves.
