Tell me youāre uneducated without telling me..
A few things:
šļø Stage 4 does NOT equal terminal. My daughter is not terminal. She has completed treatment that we hope has ācuredā her. SHE IS NOT SICK. She is 10 MONTHS OF NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE. Also not that it matters but we didnāt get pregnant with our third until TREATMENT WAS OVER! My
š I cannot control WHEN my daughter got diagnosed with cancer. Yes she got diagnosed the day our second was born. Completely out of my control. When we got pregnant with our second, our life was NORMAL.
š having a newborn and a toddler with cancer didnāt take away from either kid. My husband and I both stopped working. One kid always had one of us. We had LOTS of family support. Between my husband, myself and both of our moms, our kids were well taken care of. There were also times we all would be together as a family whether it was in the hospital or in our temporary housing. A lot of cancer treatment is just sitting around. And believe it or not, I have two hands and can hold both of my children at the same time.
š Yes cancer does happen and we were sensible. We made lots of sacrifices for our family to ensure our daughter received the best treatment. We were with her every day keeping her spirits high. We did everything we could for her.
š cancer does not dictate your life. Time doesnāt stop just because your child gets sick. The days keep coming and you learn how to adapt. If we just stopped living the day she got diagnosed, we would all be depressed. And being depressed doesnāt cure cancer.
š Having kids isnāt selfish, itās one of the most selfless things you can do. You do anything for your kids. Itās not about you anymore. I donāt have kids to ābenefitā me. I have more kids because I love seeing that sibling bond. I love that my children will have more family. I love growing our family and the love we have. Having more kids doesnāt take away from one child. Thatās absurd. Youāre basically saying anyone that has more than one child is selfish. I donāt know about you but I LOVE my siblings more than anything. I love that I have these people who I share a special bond with that will always be here for me and Iāll always be there for them. I love that when my parents are gone, Iāll still have them. When you have more than one kid your heart just grows. You have more love than you knew was possible. Seeing them grow up together and seeing the bond they build is powerful.
