As the seasons shift, so should we.
There’s something magical about the golden autumn sun, the crisp morning air, and the way nature begins to slow down.
We believe that living in harmony with the seasons is one of the foundations of good health. Rather than resisting these changes, we can learn to move with them, allowing our bodies to feel nourished, balanced, and supported.
Autumn is associated with the Metal element, the Lungs, and the art of letting go. 🍁
Here are simple ways to support your body this season:
Nourish from within 🍐
Trade cold smoothies and raw salads for warming soups, roasted root vegetables, stewed pears, ginger, and seasonal foods. In TCM, gently cooked foods are thought to support digestion and help the body adapt to cooler temperatures.
Follow the rhythm of the sun ☀️
As daylight becomes shorter, give yourself permission to slow down. Get outside in the morning light, prioritize restorative sleep, and embrace gentler movement. Our bodies thrive on rhythm, not constant productivity.
Breathe deeply & let go 🌬️
Autumn is the season of the Lungs in Chinese medicine, a time to reflect on what we’re holding onto and what we’re ready to release. Practice mindful breathing, spend time outdoors, and consider acupuncture to support relaxation and your body’s transition into the new season.
The goal isn’t to fight the changing seasons. It’s to change beautifully alongside them.
A little more rest. A little more nourishment. A little more intention.
Here’s to feeling grounded, supported, and well as we all settle into fall.
