The Wheel of the Year is not meant to feel identical in every place.

The cycle remains, but the land speaks in its own timing. What feels like early spring in one place may still feel like winter in another. Autumn may arrive in color, in wind, in harvest, or in the first quiet shift of light.

That is part of the wisdom of the Wheel.

It is seasonal, not static. Rooted in pattern, but alive in the landscape around you.

The more closely we pay attention to where we actually live, the more meaningful the turning year becomes.

Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio October 24 to November 13, 2026

Not everything that returns is meant to stay.

Mercury retrograde has earned a reputation for missed messages, tangled plans, and conversations that refuse to go smoothly. But in astrology, its deeper purpose is reflection.

And this time, Mercury moves backward through Scorpio.

Scorpio is the keeper of buried truths, unspoken feelings, old wounds, and the things we thought we had laid to rest.

This retrograde asks us to look beneath the surface.

What have you left unsaid? What truth have you been avoiding? What keeps resurfacing because it has never truly been resolved?

This is a season for examining old patterns, revisiting difficult conversations, and recognizing where silence has become its own kind of answer.

Not every door that reopens deserves to be walked through.

Some simply need to be closed with greater understanding.

What is this retrograde asking you to reconsider?

The Hunter's Moon carries an old name that still asks a very modern question.

What are you spending your life pursuing?

Some things deserve our patience. Some deserve our courage. Others have held our attention for so long that we've forgotten why we wanted them in the first place.

There is wisdom in knowing the difference.

Not every open door is an invitation.

Not every beautiful thing belongs in your keeping.

And not every pursuit is worth the pieces of yourself it asks you to surrender.

Choose your direction with care.

Some rooms seem to hold more than furniture and dust.

A conversation that changed something.
A night spent making.
A grief carried quietly.
A laugh that still feels close when the house goes still.

We leave traces of ourselves everywhere we live.

Not all of them can be seen.

Some are simply felt.

There is so much pressure to make a spiritual practice look beautiful.

The perfect altar. The perfect tools. The perfect ritual. The perfect photo.

But practice was never meant to be performance.

Sometimes it is five quiet minutes before the house wakes up. A stone in your pocket. A candle lit because you needed one small point of light. A few words spoken under your breath while the rest of life keeps moving around you.

What makes it real is not how it looks.

It is the meaning you return to.

Some say the sea remembers everything it takes.

Off the coast of Suffolk, England, there is a town the ocean has been swallowing for centuries.

Its name is Dunwich.

Once a thriving medieval port, Dunwich lost its streets, churches, and homes to centuries of storms and relentless tides.

Piece by piece, the sea claimed it.

But something survived.

A legend.

They say that on certain nights, when the wind falls still and the waves grow quiet, the bells of Dunwich's lost churches can still be heard tolling beneath the water.

Not calling the faithful.

Not marking the hour.

Simply ringing from somewhere the living can no longer reach.

Perhaps it is only the movement of the sea. Perhaps it is memory giving a voice to what history has taken.

Or perhaps some places leave echoes too deep to be silenced.

There is something hauntingly beautiful about a town that can disappear beneath the waves, yet refuse to be forgotten.

The sea may keep what it takes. But folklore keeps what we cannot bear to forget.

And so the bells of Dunwich ring on, if only in the stories of those who still listen.

Would you stand upon that shore after dark and listen for them?

There are many ways to work with a full moon, and no single collection of correspondences belongs to everyone.

For the Hunter's Moon, I find myself drawn to symbols of protection, clear intention, preparation, and the wisdom of knowing what matters.

Moonstone for reflection. Smoky quartz for grounding. Rosemary for remembrance and protection. Oak for endurance.

Amber and copper recall the warmth of the season. Black holds the quiet mystery of the approaching dark.

These are symbolic associations within contemporary ritual practice, not requirements or ancient rules.

The most meaningful magick has always left room for a personal connection.

The moon has never needed to be full to be beautiful.

There is grace in the sliver, power in the half light, mystery in the dark, and radiance in the full.

Every phase carries its own kind of beauty.
Every change belongs to the whole.

The sky never asks her to stay the same.

Some habits become sacred without ever announcing themselves.

The candle you light before you begin.
The drawer you reach into for the same little things.
The words you write down because they need somewhere to live.
The few minutes you give back to yourself, again and again.

Meaning is often built through repetition.

Not because the act is grand, but because you keep returning to it with care.

And somewhere along the way, the ordinary becomes ritual.

Some objects become part of us because we return to them again and again.

The cup we reach for when we need comfort. The stone that always ends up in a pocket. The journal that knows more than most people do. The little charm we keep nearby without ever quite explaining why.

Meaning grows through repetition.

Sometimes the sacred is simply what we have chosen, over time, to care for.
