In this session, Melanie found a creative way to encourage her client's participation by attaching a string to the capo of her guitar that held a chime. This small adjustment allowed the client to easily reach and play the chime while the therapist strummed, creating a shared musical experience that was both accessible and engaging.
Music therapists are constantly thinking outside the box, adapting instruments, exploring new approaches, and finding creative ways to meet each client's unique needs and abilities.
Because music therapy isn't just about making music. It's about finding meaningful ways for everyone to be part of it! ππ΅
