My father, Lawrence C Foutz DDS, served as a dentist in the Air Force in Japan for three years after graduating from Northwestern Dental School in 1959. That is why I was born in Japan! Always patriotic and desirous to do his duty, I'm proud to have a veteran as my father this Veterans Day. We miss him and his example since his passing in 2019.

Happy Mother's Day! Mothers are a powerful influence in our lives. I will be forever grateful for my moms influence on me throughout my life. This is my first Mother's day without her. It is bittersweet. She is comfortable and reunited with my Dad and so many family members and in a better place. One of the last things she said to me was, " See you in about 30 years!"
