We were pleased to see Virginia scored a 9.9/10 on policies to reduce low-value care. Huzzah! There's more work to be done in many areas but through Smarter Care Virginia and other initiatives, we are working to move the needle and improve healthcare value.

TL;DR: "In this cross-sectional study of nationally representative data on Medicare beneficiaries admitted to hospitals with an emergency medical condition and treated by a hospitalist, we found that patients treated by physicians who worked fewer days clinically experienced higher patient mortality compared with patients treated by physicians who worked full time clinically."
