The Art and Science of Kinesiology

This is one of my favorite pieces of art work that I have had drawn. This is a coin on a shelf in front of a mirror. One one side of the coin is written Flexibility of Soft Tissues. On the other side is written Strength of Musculature. And on the edge of the coin is Neural Control.
These are the three most important factors for musculoskeletal (neuro-myo-fascio-skeletal) health. Certainly there are other factors, but these are the three most direct ones.
Especially, finding a balance between strength and flexibility is essential. And of course proper neural / motor control from the nervous system for healthy posture and movement patterns is critically important as well.
Exercise, and manual and movement therapies can be so helpful toward achieving these factors!
