THE SIMPLE POWER OF BREATH! I so love this passage and quote because it is so very true. Giving our body, mind and breath gratitude before we begin and end each day. Learning to not take anything in our daily life practice for granted - especially our breath-our vehilcle to carry our prana, our life force energy, into our body.

Last thing I do at night before falling asleep and first thing I do in the morning before my feet touch the floor. Both times, I place one hand on my belly to give thanks for my breath and the other hand on my heart to give thanks for an open heart to start or end the day. When was the last time you gave yourself a gift? Gifting yourself is a Selfless practice, NOT a Selfish one. After all we must fill our own cup with energy and love first before we have any to share with whom we love and care for the most.
Does this sound like something you need to take a pause and do? Then how about gifting yourself time to be coached by a Health and Wellbeing coach? I am gifting all of YOU MY FRIENDS coaching sessions all of July and August. I need to get practice sessions in before I can take the National Board Exam for Health and Wellness Coaches. I would LOVE LOVE to share my practice with you all for FREE :).
So you ask - What does this involve?
A Health and Wellbeing Coaching session involves me chatting with you about what is happening in your life right now, what goals you would like to make and how you plan on reaching them or how to solve anything in your life practice you may be struggling with currently. Really it is a talk and movement based coaching session which can last anywhere from 30 - 60 min depending on the time you have to offer. Basically, I help you facilitate a plan on how to move forward to solve an issue or reach a goal that you have been wanting to reach. I will be your coach, cheerleader and thought partner to help you create your story in life practice.

What a great idea!! When we wake up before our set alarm it usually means you have ended a sleep cycle. If you decide to begin another sleep cycle you may end up feeling groggy and interrupted when your alarm does go off and it is time for you to wake up. Perhaps taking advantage of waking up an hour early feeling awake and refreshed will allow you to have a productive and successful day.

Madhavi’s 100 Day Journey
June 2nd ,Tuesday marked my 100th day of daily movement. Going through this commitment and making it public made it a priority for me to give daily self care for myself. I started to commit to practicing my arm and head balance poses and am getting stronger in my core and more confident in my body and mind. Turning upside down and standing on my head doesn’t make me a better individual, but it helps me know that I can do anything I strive and work hard towards that I want to do. Turning 50 this year was the hardest birthday for me. I needed to overcome the number and continue to live the way I feel physically and mentally. I challenged myself to go past my edge in body and mind and push a little further in just trying something my mind always told me I could not do. After all we are what we think! Therefore I think I’m young and flexible in body and mind! I plan on continuing my daily movement practice and improving these poses. Hopefully, one day you will see this tripod go into a headstand! This was the very first time I did this pose without carpet and padding to protect me from a fall. I actually held this pose for quite a long time while the photo was getting taken.
