So, you ARE getting outside some each day, right?
Mama - you may not consider yourself an 'outdoor gal', but your organs, sleep, and appetite do.
The more I study the importants and intricacies of circadian rhythm, the more I realize the impact that the day/night cycle has on my health and metabolism.
The GOOD NEWS is that you don't have to start playing a sport, going on long hikes, are plant a garden (unless you want to of course!). Simply going for a leisurely stroll, sitting on your back deck, or taking a kid/grand to the park are all wonderful, pleasurable, easy, FREE ways to get outside and take metabolic advantage of daytime light.
Afraid of burning, sweating, or some other concern?
No worries --- get outside at ANY time between sunrise and sunset that works for YOU. There are benefits to any time of day and the main thing is this:
JUST DO IT.
And I cannot think of a better time than October. The weather, the temps, the colors, the fun outdoor activities. Whether you take the family to a pumpkin farm or simply sit outside and read a book ----
JUST DO IT.
Your metabolism thanks you.
