🎉 HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY, MIRANDA! 🎉

We know your birthday is tomorrow, but because we get to celebrate YOU, we weren't about to wait until Monday! 😉 And hey… it’s Friday, so we’re sending you into your birthday weekend with ALL the love!

Tiny? Yes.
Mighty? ABSOLUTELY. 💪🏼

Today we are giving ALL the flowers to our girl, Miranda! 🌸

Miranda is the kind of nurse who shows up, gets it done, loves her patients well, and somehow manages to bring her whole heart into everything she does. We are incredibly blessed that she chose Modern Day Health Care as her workplace home.

Alongside Danielle, DNP, Miranda helps lead our Huron clinic — and we couldn't be more grateful for everything she brings to our team and our patients.

Miranda, you are so loved, so appreciated, and so very worth celebrating. We hope you feel every bit of that today!

And because it's FRIDAY… 🎉
May your birthday be amazing, your weekend be even better, and may someone else handle the things you normally have to handle. 😂

Happy Birthday, Miranda! We love you! ❤️

October means fuzzy socks.
Cool mornings.
Pumpkin everything.
The first excuse to stay home under a blanket.

But for a lot of women, October means something much heavier.

It means remembering the woman who fought.
The woman who is fighting.
The woman who didn’t get the chance to finish the fight.
It means pink ribbons on the people we love and sometimes scars that nobody else can see.

And here's the statistic we don't want you to scroll past:

About 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in her lifetime.

One in eight.

So this October, we're not just asking you to wear pink.

We're asking you to take care of you.

Because we know how easy it is to put yourself last.

The kids need something.
Work needs something.
Your husband needs something.
The laundry is never done.
And somehow your own appointment keeps getting pushed to “when I have time.”

Friend…you don't get extra points for putting yourself last.

Your annual wellness exam matters.

It’s a chance to talk about your health, your family history, screenings, medications, changes you've noticed, and the things you've been meaning to ask but haven't.

And if you're 40 or older and at average risk, current guidelines recommend screening mammograms every other year.

So let October be your reminder.

Make the appointment.
Ask the questions.
Get the screening.
Take care of the woman who takes care of everyone else.

And if that woman is you—

We'd love to see you at Modern Day Health Care.

Because taking care of everyone else starts with not forgetting yourself. 💗

🎉💖 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR AMAZING COO, JUSTINE! 💖🎉

Today we’re celebrating someone who is truly the heart of our company! Justine is hardworking, dedicated, compassionate, encouraging, dependable, and always willing to go the extra mile for our team. She has an incredible way of keeping everyone connected, supported, motivated, and moving forward. She somehow manages to hold the whole team together while making everyone feel valued, heard, and appreciated. She’s the person we can count on, the person we can laugh with, the person we can vent to, and without a doubt, everyone’s work bestie! 🥰

And of course, we can’t forget her sass, quick wit, and absolutely unforgettable sense of humor! 😂 She has a way of bringing laughter into even the busiest days, keeping us entertained, and reminding us not to take everything quite so seriously.

Her personality, honesty, sarcasm, and perfectly timed comments are just a few of the many reasons we all love having her around! 💁‍♀️😂
Justine brings so much positivity, kindness, strength, determination, loyalty, humor, and genuine care to everything she does. Her leadership and big heart make such a difference every single day, and our company simply wouldn’t be the same without her. We are incredibly lucky to have her not only as our COO, but as a friend, a mentor, a cheerleader, a comedian, and such an important part of our work family. ❤️

Please join us in wishing Justine the happiest birthday! 🥳🎂 We hope your day is filled with all the love, laughter, and appreciation you deserve. Happy Birthday, Justine! We are so grateful for you!💕🎉

PhD. APRN-CNP. CEO.

Alphabet soup to some of you.
Hard-earned titles to her.

But those letters only tell a small part of the story.

Our CEO, founder, and fearless visionary, Annie, has worn a lot of hats and lived a lot of lives. She Annie grew up in Huron and started her career here. Provider. Leader. Entrepreneur. Mentor. Advocate. Problem-solver. The person who sees what could be and refuses to settle for what is.

But ask her about her favorite titles, and they aren't the ones hanging on her office door.

Mom. Grandma.

Those are the titles that mean the most.

Annie built Modern Day Health Care from an idea into something much bigger than a clinic. She built a place where providers can practice medicine differently, where patients can feel known, and where independent practitioners have the support to do what they were called to do.

And she still isn't done.

She continues to push us—to think bigger, care deeper, challenge the way things have always been done, and believe that health care can be something more.

Because here's the thing about Annie—and honestly, about Modern Day Health Care:

There is always more to the story.

We are so much more than our titles.
So much more than our job descriptions.
So much more than the four walls of a clinic.

Today, we celebrate the woman behind it all.

Happy Birthday, Annie. ❤️

We are incredibly proud of everything you've built, everything you've overcome, everything you're still dreaming about, and all the lives you've touched along the way.

And we have a feeling your best chapters are still being written.

Happy 4th of July❤️🤍💙

There’s just something about a rural South Dakota 4th of July that feels like its own category of celebration. It usually involves a cooler that somehow never empties, fireworks that were “on sale so it only made sense,” and at least one person confidently saying, “it’s not that windy out,” while everyone else quietly disagrees.

Kids are running on popsicles and freedom, dogs are questioning every life decision they’ve ever made, and there’s always that moment where someone yells “don’t light that yet!”… usually right after it’s already been lit.

It’s loud, a little chaotic, and completely perfect in its own way.

From all of us at Modern Day Health Care, we hope your Independence Day is safe, joyful, and full of the kind of memories you’ll laugh about later (preferably not ones that require a visit from us).

Happy 4th of July ✨

🚨 **OFFICE CLOSED TODAY** 🚨

**We've officially written ourselves a prescription for a long holiday weekend.** 😎

Possible side effects of this treatment may include:

Consuming an amount of hot dogs your primary care provider would prefer not to know about.

Insisting that watermelon somehow counts as staying hydrated.

Saying, "I don't need sunscreen," and immediately regretting that life choice.

Going back for a second helping... then a third because, hey, it's a holiday.

Staying up way past your bedtime because you *have* to see the fireworks.

Accidentally turning a 20-minute nap into a three-hour "power recovery."

Laughing a little louder, making memories with the people you love, and remembering that sometimes the best medicine really is quality time together.

Our office is closed today as we get a jump start on the Fourth of July weekend, and we hope you're able to do the same.

While you're celebrating, here's your friendly provider reminder:
💧 Drink plenty of water.
🧴 Wear the sunscreen.
🎇 Leave the fireworks to the professionals.
❤️ Check in on your family, your neighbors, and yourself.

We'll be back soon, rested and ready to take care of you. Until then, enjoy your prescribed holiday weekend—and don't worry... calories consumed at a cookout are still under clinical review.

Have a safe, fun, and Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Modern Day Health Care!

🩺 Your holiday prescription has arrived!

Rx: A healthy dose of sunshine, family time, laughter, good food, and a little extra rest this Fourth of July weekend. 🇺🇸☀️

Our providers decided they should follow those orders, too! Modern Day Health Care will be closed on Friday, July 3, as our team takes a prescribed holiday weekend to recharge and celebrate with the people they love.

Before you start your own celebration, take a quick look at your health checklist:
💊 Do you have enough medication to get through the weekend?
📞 Have you requested any prescription refills?
🩺 Have you been meaning to schedule an appointment or ask your provider a question?

If you need us, please don't wait until the last minute. Give us a call before Friday, and we'll do our best to make sure you have everything you need before the holiday begins.

A little rest is good medicine, and we're grateful for the opportunity to recharge so we can continue caring for our amazing patients.

From all of us at Modern Day Health Care, we wish you a safe, healthy, and happy Fourth of July weekend. We'll see you soon!

Honoring Juneteenth: Progress, Equity, and the Work Still Ahead
Today, we honor Juneteenth—a day that marks freedom, resilience, and hope. It serves as a powerful reminder of how far we have come as a nation, while also recognizing that the journey toward equality continues.

In health care, access, dignity, and compassionate treatment should never depend on race, background, or circumstance or location. While significant progress has been made, we remain committed to ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, respected, and valued.

At Modern Day Health Care, we believe quality health care is a right, not a privilege. Today, we reflect on the courage of those who fought for freedom, celebrate the progress that has been made, and recommit ourselves to building healthier, stronger communities for everyone.

This isn't a post about healthcare.

It's a post about people.

Last week, the Modern Day Health Care team stepped away from our clinics to spend time together at a beautiful Minnesota lake. What we found there was so much more than a retreat.

We found perspective.

In the stillness of the water, the laughter around the table, the conversations around the fire pit, and the simple joy of being together, we were reminded of something we don't always make time to see:

The strength of our team isn't found only in what we know.

It's found in who we are.

We serve communities across rural South Dakota, often miles apart, caring for patients in clinics, homes, workplaces, and communities. While distance may separate us geographically, our purpose keeps us connected.

This retreat reminded us that we are accountable not only to the patients who trust us with their care, but also to one another.
Scripture tells us that "iron sharpens iron," and we felt that deeply over the weekend. Not through meetings or metrics, but through shared meals, late-night conversations, boat rides, burgers, addictive dips, countless laughs, and moments of genuine connection.

We were reminded that our greatest strength isn't simply our clinical knowledge, experience, or professional skill.

It's our bond.

It's our faith.

It's our willingness to lift one another up, challenge one another to grow, and show up for each other when it matters most.

God has blessed us with meaningful work, incredible communities to serve, and a team that genuinely cares—not just about healthcare, but about people.
And that's what makes Modern Day Health Care special.

We're not perfect.

We're real.

We're a collection of different backgrounds, personalities, talents, and stories brought together by a shared calling to serve others.
As you scroll through these photos, know that behind every appointment, every home visit, every phone call, and every patient interaction is a team that believes deeply in caring for people—and caring for each other.

For the memories, the laughter, the friendships, and the opportunity to do this work together, we are grateful.

Here's to serving with purpose, leading with compassion, and never taking for granted the blessing of each other and our communities.
