Best Buddies Indiana was founded in 2002 through the support of the Indiana Down Syndrome Foundation. From that time, through the generous support of many sponsors, grants from foundations and the INDOE, Best Buddies Indiana has opened 85 chapters statewide.

Hanging out at the Fall Ambassador Social! 🍂🧡

A few Ambassador Academy graduates and new cohort members got together to talk about all things leadership before we start our first training later this month. They reflected on the strengths that make them unique leaders and looked ahead to how they want to grow over the next 8 months!

To get into the spooky spirit, they also painted pumpkins and enjoyed some fall treats! We're so excited to kick off this year's Ambassador Academy! ✨

Best Buddies Indiana is proud to recognize Carter Gordon as a member of the Best Buddies Emerging Leaders Program Class of 2026! ✨

Carter first got involved in Best Buddies when he was in the 5th grade. He's now a member of our Adult Friendship program, serves as a State Ambassador, and is a 2026 Champion of the Year candidate!

Thank you to everyone who came out to join us at Local Leadership Training Day this past Sunday! 💜

Our 55 attendees got all the info they need to start the school year strong. A few students even had the chance to present to their fellow chapter leaders on areas that their chapter excels in! 👏

We can't wait to watch our chapters grow in their schools and their communities!

Best Buddies Ambassadors play an important role in promoting our mission of inclusion. This could be YOU as a member of the Ambassador Academy! 🗣️

The Ambassador Academy is a free, nationwide leadership program for program members, leaders, volunteers, parents, and supporters age 14 and older across Indiana. with and without IDD. This 9-month program is designed to help you strengthen your voice, grow your confidence, and become a leader in your community. ✨
