This weeks one bowl meal prep features an option to shake up your pasta night. Chick pea protein offers a protein packed, high fiber option and adding broccoli/mushrooms ensures you get even more nutrient dense food.

Here is a simplistic overview, as always make it your own:
- Cook Pasta
- Cook protein of choice, we used ground turkey,
- Sautee mushrooms in skillet
-Roast frozen broccoli in over or air frier
-Add all to bowl and mix with pesto, we love adding red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese!
- ENJOY!!

The overall idea is to cook each veggie to your liking and pick the protein that works best for you. Here is what we did for our recipe to help.

You could say something like, "You asked and we delivered, here is your weekly one bowl meal prep recipe using Primal Kitchen buffalo sauce!

- Dice and roast sweet potatoes in the oven at 350 for 25-30 minutes, shake throughout
- Slices or halves Brussels sprouts and cook in an air fryer, we like them a little more well done. Check and stir frequently.
- Saute mushrooms
- Cook your choice of protein, we used ground turkey
- Add all to a bowl, along with buffalo sauce and mix.

The RxRevival app was created to help you set some goals and hit them. It is to help hold you accountable to yourself. We have 2 week and 4 week challenges available - so take your pick! The 2 week challenge you must close your rings for 11 out of 14 days and for the 4 week challenge you must close your rings 21 out of 28 days.

Close your move ring by hitting the goal of 600+ active calories burned. Active calories are the ones you burn through all kinds of movement, from taking the stairs to cleaning out your garage. The goal is to be active throughout your day to lead a more healthy lifestyle!

Close your exercise ring by completing at least 30 minutes of activity at or above a brisk walk. Choose your specific workout on your apple watch and move the way that works best for you! Did you know 30 minutes of brisk activity everyday can help minimize cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chance of stroke, and weight gain. It can also help you reduce stress and improve your mood and sleep.

Close your stand ring by getting up and moving around for at least 1 minute during 12 different hours in the day. A sedentary lifestyle can cause health problems. Standing up more throughout your day can help lead to lower blood pressure, increase your energy, and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.

Sometimes the check-in process happens so quickly that it’s hard to know if you’ve actually checked in or not. Always check for the little orange icon down by your active challenges after you’ve checked in to make sure your rings have been captured.

Can you relate to this? You tell yourself you are going to start exercising more and for a while you are super motivated, but then it all just starts to fall apart. How do you change your focus from intention to doing? Here are 6 tips that could help you make exercise a habit that sticks:

⏺ Give it a month. Commit to about four weeks of exercise (research suggests that this can help you build a new routine). The RxRevival challenge is one month long and it has built in "rest" days. Out of the 28 day challenge - 21 days must be completed. That's 7 days that you can take off during the month to regain your focus. Sometimes going too hard, too fast leads to burn out so make sure to rest when starting your new routine.

⏺ Try temptation bundling. Combine something you crave with something that's healthy. Pick out your favorite podcast or tv series and combine that with your workout. You can only listen to your favorite podcast while you exercise. It gives you something to look forward to (instead of thinking "I don't feel like exercising today"). Most podcasts or series are 30 minutes long, so BOOM exercise ring closed!

⏺ Set goals - but give yourself grace. Make sure your exercise objective is achievable (like aiming to close your rings through the RxRevival challenge), but give yourself a free pass if you fail to meet your goal. Sometimes when we fail to hit our goals, we tend to just say "why am I doing this" and quit. Giving yourself a free pass and remember that tomorrow is a new day to start again. Not everyday is going to be perfect - its the imperfect days where we become stronger.

⏺ Be flexible in your schedule. Yes, you can workout at the same time, everyday and allow that to become your habit. However, if something conflicts with your set time - does it throw off your whole day? Do you get into the mentality of "well I can't workout now because of x, y, and z"? On days where you have conflicting times - try going for a walk outside when you get off work or schedule a 30 minute window to get your exercise in.

⏺ Make exercising social. Join the RxRevival challenge with friends so you have some extra motivation to close your rings. You can see the leaderboard in each challenge for extra accountability. Document your journey on social media or just ask a friend to take a class or walk with you to catch up on life.

⏺ Put some money on the line. Money can be a huge motivator, so put it to work for you. RxRevival works like a commitment device - you are placing a bet to hit your goals for 21 days, and if you complete the challenge then you get your money back. You are making a commitment to yourself to follow through with your goals first for the next 4 weeks!

How many times have you said "I'll get back on track tomorrow" or "this is the year I stick to my goals"? As humans we do not have an information deficit - we have a behavior deficit.
