Beatriz brings extensive experience in accounting, controllership, and CFO advisory services, with a background spanning financial operations, reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, payroll, compliance, and the development of processes and internal controls that support growing organizations.

As CFO, Beatriz will oversee Coppel’s financial operations and work closely with our leadership team to strengthen financial reporting, improve processes, and support informed decision-making as we continue to grow our work with OPOs across the country.

Indiana Pacers star and two-time NBA All-Star Tyrese Haliburton is using his platform to bring greater attention to the lifesaving impact of organ donation. 💙

Haliburton has been working with Indiana Donor Network since 2025 as part of the “One Moment. One Decision. One Donor.” campaign, using his platform to bring greater visibility to the lifesaving impact of donation. Both Haliburton and his wife, Jade, are registered organ donors, and he made his own decision to register when he was just 16.

Last week, that work brought Haliburton and his wife to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where they spent time with five young kidney transplant recipients and their families.

“I’m grateful to meet these kids whose lives were saved by organ donation. One moment can change everything. One decision can save lives. Just one organ donor can save eight lives,” Haliburton shared.

At a time when there is so much information competing for people's attention, voices willing to share the real impact of donation can make a difference. Seeing the children and families whose lives have been changed by transplantation puts real people at the center of the conversation.

Another great AMAT conference in the books!

Rob Coppel and Clinique Burrell had a wonderful time in Milwaukee for the 34th Annual Association for Multicultural Affairs in Transplantation Conference.

AMAT brings together professionals from across donation and transplantation to learn from one another and continue important conversations around multicultural engagement, education, trust, and equitable access to donation and transplantation.

For Rob, who serves on the AMAT Advisory Board, the conference also offered a chance to reconnect with colleagues, spend time with longtime friends in the donation community, and meet others doing important work across the field.

Thank you to AMAT and everyone who made this year’s conference possible. We’re grateful for the conversations, connections, and ideas we get to bring home to Coppel.

September 15 marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to recognize the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.

In donation, culture matters.

With Hispanic and Latino individuals representing nearly one in four people on the U.S. transplant waiting list, culturally responsive communication and engagement remain especially important.

Every family comes to a donation conversation with their own beliefs, traditions, experiences, family dynamics, and understanding of what donation means. Language and culture also shape how people receive information, build trust, ask questions, and make decisions during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

This understanding is central to how our team approaches Family Care. We call our team members perception-enhancing consultants because their role includes helping families understand and perceive donation in a way that respects their individual backgrounds and beliefs.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate Hispanic and Latino donor families, recipients, donation professionals, and community members and their contributions throughout the donation and transplantation community.

On August 25, Coppel Consulting Founder & CEO Robert Coppel joined Closing Gaps: Strategies for Supporting Diverse Families in End-of-Life Care (Part II), hosted by the Organ Donation & Transplantation Alliance (The Alliance) in partnership with the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) and The Association for Multicultural Affairs in Transplantation.

The conversation focused on supporting families from diverse backgrounds throughout end-of-life and donation conversations, including ways to strengthen culturally responsive communication, address knowledge gaps, and build trust.

These conversations closely connect with how we approach Family Care at Coppel. Every family brings their own beliefs, culture, experiences, questions, and understanding of donation. Effective Family Care requires meeting each family where they are and communicating in a way that respects what matters to them.

No two donor families are alike.
