I haven’t posted much lately but Meko is doing great she is down to 2.5 mg of prednisone every day. In a few weeks we will take her back to see if she can go to every other day. She’s so fat from the prednisone she’s having trouble walking but every time we take her down a little on the prednisone she gets a little less hungry which helps.

Meko’s sissy got double patella surgery on her back legs yesterday. She’s doing well and getting lots of love

Great news today. She’s going to be on imuran every other day now instead of every day. 😍😍😍😁

Even better results today. We are going to half a pill of prednisone in the morning and night. Yayyyy.

We are enjoying staying in today. We got a bunch of snow last night and it’s a pretty chilly day. Meko is not thrilled about the snow. Especially since she grew up in Texas and this is her first year with heavy snow.

Dogs are loving the snow storm we got. Minnie,Shyla and Fatfat got a vet appointment for dental and toe nail trims. Next week we have 3 more going to get teeth cleaned and nails trimmed and Meko has a Friday follow up appointment

She’s still fighting. So happy to see positive results. She dropped on a couple things but look at those baby red blood cells and platelets.

She went down in a few things but shot up on her plt so we are having a happy dance today 😁

Today was a bad news day. Her blood results went down more. Tomorrow she will be going to MSU.

My mommy thinks my heartworm medication caused my disease. She has heard of others that have had this as well. Even in pommies like me. Not the good kind but the stuff that has flea prevention in it. My vet says they can not confirm this but it is my mommies belief that she caused this by giving me the pill.

Did you know that a dry crunchy nose is a sign of autoimmune disease. It does not always mean you have one. You could just have a dry nose but it is common in dogs like me.

My name is Meko I am spunky 3 year old pomeranian. I love everything. I am one of the happiest little dogs you will meet. Currently I am struggling with my disease. In my short time of dealing with this I have had multiple blood test and a blood transfusion. I am so happy and thankful that another animal was kind enough to donate blood to save my life. Im currently struggling to keep my blood count where it needs to be so I am on prednisone again. I was just on Imuran but that was not working for me. I am hoping this will reach others who can share their stories with my mom and any advice they may have to help me with my disease. I live on a small hobby farm we have so many chickens I cant count they lay eggs all over the yard and their house. It is so crazy to hear them talk I get excited every time they talk to me. I have 15 other brothers and sisters. I will share photos of them for you to see them.
