A small confession. When I film my reels, I'm reading.

There's a teleprompter app on my phone, and the words scroll right under the camera while I talk. Without it, I start on one thought, wander off on a little tangent, and lose where I was going. The script keeps my thoughts organized, and the video flows better.

So if my eyes move a little, now you know why.

If you've wanted to make videos but worry you'll ramble, three things that help me:

1. Write it the way you talk, not the way you'd write a letter.
2. Keep it to one idea per video.
3. Set the scroll slower than feels right, so you have room to breathe.

Search "teleprompter" in your app store. There are plenty to choose from.

What would you film if you knew you wouldn't lose your place?

Some weeks are full in a quiet way. This was one of them.

A few things I'm thankful for, in no special order. I'd love to hear one of yours.

What's on your list this week?

My son and I went to a casino night for BIA. His girlfriend worked so hard on this event, and we wanted to be there for her. That's what families do.

We had so much fun.

It reminded me how much it means when someone shows up for the thing you've been working on. You don't have to understand everything. Just being there says plenty.

If someone you love is building something right now, go see it. Buy the ticket, share the post, sit in the room.

Who showed up for you when it mattered?

10/23/2026

If you've tried something before and stepped away, you're not alone. I did it too.

What I took from that year: effort matters, and so does what you choose.

These are the three questions I ask now, about anything I'm thinking of joining.

1 Would I use the product even without the business?

2 Will the people who brought me in still pick up the phone after I join?

3 Do I understand how it works, start to finish, before I say yes?

Save this for the day you're ready to look again.

She put my computer glasses on (not prescription, don't worry) and sat with her books and her Gramps like she had a test in the morning.

She kept them on for a long time.

She can count to ten and say her ABCs.

The part we're working on now is what they mean.

Three is three fingers, or three blocks.

A has a shape and a sound.

It made me think about anything I'm learning. I can repeat the words long before I understand them.

Going back to what something actually means is slower, and it's the part that sticks.

If you're learning something new right now, pick one word or idea you've been repeating and ask yourself what it really means.

This week I took a hard look at how I've been showing up online. Some of it I've been doing right. Some of it, not so much.

It's tempting to change everything at once. I made two lists instead.

What's working. I keep all of it.

What isn't. I pick one thing and fix it this week. Just one.

Try it with anything you're working on, a habit, a project, a goal you've had on the shelf. Two lists, then one change.

The things you're already doing right deserve to be noticed too.

I set up my loaner machine at a friend's house a little while ago. They had already been reading about hydrogen water on their own, and they wanted to live with it before deciding anything.

This week they told me they're getting one. I'm so happy for them, mostly because of how they decided.

Three things they did that I'd tell anyone thinking about a water machine:
1 Do your own reading first. Nobody should have to talk you into it.
2 Try it at home if you can. A week in your own kitchen tells you more than any video.
3 Look at the whole machine. They ended up loving the cleaning options as much as the drinking water.

If you're curious what's in your tap water, look up your zip code at ewg.org/tapwater. It's free.

This isn't medical advice. Talk with your doctor about what's right for you.

I started a 12-week social media training this week, and week one already changed how I look at my own posts.

Some of what I've been
doing is right.
Some of it isn't.

The biggest gap: I knew what the woman I'm writing for says out loud. I hadn't spent much time on what she thinks and keeps to herself.

If you share anything online, for a business or just for you, try this tonight.

Write down one thing the person you're talking to would never say out loud.

Read your last three posts and ask if any of them speak to it.

I'm excited to start making changes.

What's one thing you're learning right now?

Last week I wrote a thank-you note to my 40-year-old self. This week, she gets a "you're welcome" and "mahalo."

Dear 40-year-old me,

You're welcome for starting my own business. At 60. That entrepreneurial spirit you never let go of finally has a home.

You're welcome for getting on camera. I film and edit my own videos now. Yes, me.

You're welcome for learning to run my own ads. You'd never believe it.

You're welcome for going back to learning. Social media, AI, things that didn't even exist when I was you.

And you're welcome for showing up before the results do. Some days an hour, some days more. Every day counts.

Whatever you've been putting off, it's not too late to start. Your 60-year-old self will thank you.

What would your 40-year-old self never believe you're doing now?

I spent half an hour this week hunting for a button on Instagram.

Checked every screen.
Updated the app.
Scrolled up and down more times than I'd like to admit.
Asked AI for help... I should've done this first 😂

Turns out it doesn't show up until you have 1,000 followers.

I have 130.
So, would you help a Tutu out and follow along?

I'm learning something new all the time.
