We talk a lot about what aging looks like, but we don’t talk nearly enough about what change actually feels like.
Yes, the physical pieces can be hard. But what about the things no one else can see?
Hormones shift. Emotions surface that we can’t always explain. Our responsibilities, relationships, and sense of identity begin to change.
Maybe you’re sending your child to school for the first time, becoming a mother, adjusting to an empty nest, recovering from surgery, or learning to feel like yourself in a body that has changed.
So many of us are moving through a shift while still showing up for everyone around us.
Aging isn’t only about getting older. It’s about meeting new versions of ourselves and learning what each one needs—physically, mentally, and emotionally. 🤍
So yes, I’m going to honor these shifts and book myself that massage or sound bath.
I am going to take time to slow down, reconnect with my body, and sit with my emotions helps me move through the unexpected feelings that come with change.
Whatever you’re balancing, your experience matters. And every time someone shares their story, it reminds the rest of us that we aren’t alone.
