This is a reminder for our customers who want me to look at their Medicare plan for 2027 I am starting Tuesday November 3rd and will be doing it until December 7th when it’s due. Please come by between 8:30-1 and 2-5:30. Days I will not be here are as follows

Nov 16
Nov 26 (Thanksgiving)
Nov 28
Nov 30th

I will also say my schedule the next 2 months could fluctuate with my wife being pregnant. She’s not due to deliver until after Medicare enrollment but there’s a possibility our baby could make their grand entrance during that period. If so do not worry because we have others that can do it for you. If you are a customer of ours please DO NOT talk to anyone before talking to me about your plan. DO NOT answer any phone call from an unknown number and if you do if they say anything about Medicare HANG UP THE PHONE.

Our scripture for this week is short but straight to the point.

Luke 22:42 “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane praying to God asking to spare him of the pain and suffering he’s about to endure. But he also says not by my will but Yours be done. This is the truest form of obedience we see in scripture. Jesus knew what was coming, was most likely scared (who wouldn’t be), but yet he was still obedient. May we be reminded that obedience to God isn’t always when it suits us or beneficial. Sometimes it’s painful, full of tears and sacrifice, and difficult. But it shows our love and fear for Him when we do obey him.

Our scripture for the week comes from Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.”

Eternity is hard to fathom if we’re being honest. It never ends. Time is no longer a thing with eternity. Can you wrap your mind around it? When I do it can be kind of terrifying to be honest. But for those who have been cleaned of sin through accepting and proclaiming Jesus as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and our personal savior eternity takes on a whole new meaning. We should not fear it. In fact we should be excited. Eternity with God will be unlike anything we can imagine.

May this week you find someone to show love to that needs it. You never know who might.

Our scripture for this week comes from Romans

Romans 5:3-5
“And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

Life is hard and Jesus himself never said life would be easy following him. In fact he said following him would make life more difficult because we are not called to be of this world. Trials and tribulations are expected in this life because we brought it on ourselves with sin being present. But because our faith isn’t in ourselves or other people or institutions but in Jesus our Lord and Savior we will persevere and see the hope that brings peace. No matter the outcome (even death) God’s glory will be proclaimed and our trust in him will not waiver.

I know that we missed the scripture for yesterday mainly because I was on my way back home from being out of town. But fear not we’re still gonna have one today. Before that I want to say that we as a town have been struck another heavy blow in the form of evil acts taking place against innocent victims and I believe it’s not a coincidence. Satan sees that the light is spreading. The love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will overcome his wickedness is moving forward more than he ever thought would happen. I honestly believe Satan is scared of what we as a community can do when we follow Christ. And he should be. He should be shaking because we will not give in. We will not back down. When he attacks we will stand up with the armor of God and proclaim this place is not for him. It’s for the Lord our Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Do not fear is the most quoted phrase in all of scripture. I’m calling on us as a community to not fear. If you need prayer please come to us and we will pray with you. Do not let the evil deeds committed dampen your faith or weaken your resolve. Death has been defeated and the grave turned into a garden. Remember to love as Jesus loves us.

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Just a forewarning this is going to be a longer verse and explanation this week. But our scripture this week is from Luke 15: 4-7

“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the other ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he puts it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost!’ I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.”

I am a living testament to this parable. I was lost, in a dark place, addicted to sin, and overall a not so good person. But because Jesus left the 99 to find me I am no longer lost. I’m no longer addicted to sin and the ways of this world. Do I still fail? Absolutely. None of us are perfect but we worship a savior that is. And the best part is you don’t have to find him. He will find you. You just have to let Him find you. I’ll leave you with the words of a song that has been on my heart the last week (which I do not own the lyrics to)

“I know you left the 99 to come and rescue me. Cause I had wondered way too far from where I’m supposed to be. There ain’t no one too far gone for Jesus I believe. Cause I know you left the 99 to come and rescue me.”
