homemade hamburger helper, but make it high protein 👀🍝
cozy, filling, high protein, and made in one pot!

Had no clue what I was going for when I started making this. All I knew was that I was craving pasta and I never turn down a craving. Of course it came out too good not to share!

Ingredients:
* 1 lb ground venison/deer meat
* 1 diced purple onion
* 2–3 minced cloves garlic
* 4 cups protein pasta (literally the best protein pasta EVER)
* 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce (Primal kitchen organic tomato & basil pasta sauce was the cleanest I could find but use whatever you like)
* 3 cups chicken broth + more as needed
* 1 cup whipped cottage cheese
* Fresh basil
* Parmesan cheese

Directions:
1. Sauté onion + garlic:
Add the diced purple onion (I only had a purple onion. you can use a yellow onion too!) and garlic to a large pot and sauté until the onion is soft and browned.
2. Cook the venison:
Add the ground venison and season with garlic powder, minced onion, salt, pepper, paprika and Italian seasoning. Cook until the meat is lightly browned.
3. Add sauce + broth:
Add 1 1/2 cups marinara and 3 cups chicken broth. Stir it all in.
4. Add the pasta:
stir in the Brami protein pasta and cover the pot. Let it cook, stirring/checking here and there. Add more chicken broth as needed until the noodles are cooked… I did this several times lol
5. Add basil:
once the pasta is almost cooked, add a handful of fresh chopped basil. I used fresh basil from my garden which always makes me hype for my meals 🤪
6. Make it creamy:
turn the heat to low and stir in 1 cup whipped cottage cheese until it’s mixed in and the sauce is creamy.
7. Serve how you like it and top it off with parmesan cheese

A FEW THINGS THAT LIFE HAS BEEN TEACHING ME LATELY 🤍

1. Life is what you make it. So make it good!
2. You aren’t stuck or lost. You might just be complacent with where you are. Go grow!
3. Dream a million dreams and go after them. Don’t be afraid to want more. God wouldn’t give you that desire if He didn’t have that in store for you.
4. Your thoughts and your words matter. Be intentional with both.
5. Solutions over resolutions. We don’t always get the resolutions we desire but there are always solutions to help us move forward.
6. Your body is uniquely yours. What works for one person might not work for you and that’s okay. Trial and error is part of the process.
7. Pour into yourself first. There’s an overflow that comes from pouring into yourself.
8. You don’t have to understand someone’s feelings to validate them. Sometimes people don’t need your opinion. They just need you to feel with them or just support them.
9. It costs nothing to be kind. You never know what someone else is carrying.
10. Don’t shrink yourself to be accepted. Your emotions, boundaries, and standards are worth honoring.
11. STAY GRATEFUL. ALWAYS. There’s always something to learn.

Two years ago today, I got baptize🤍

Im in a different season now. Not a worse one, just a different one. Back then, I was on a high and God felt very present in my life. He still is, but today it feels more quiet. More personal. Less about what people see and more about what God and I know to be true.

I’m in a season where I’m growing my relationship with God without so much input from the outside. No one knows my relationship with Him more than Him. I don’t need to be loud about it in every season.

One thing I’ve realized is that even though I’m not as “on fire” in my faith as I was before, I actually feel more real with God now than I ever have. I’m more honest with Him AND myself. I don’t have to be perfect to be loved, and I don’t have to worry so much about what other people think.

I’m learning I don’t need to put so much pressure on myself to be “perfect” or do everything right. I’m learning to acknowledge different seasons, embrace my failures, and trust that there’s a purpose for each one.

Through all my mistakes (which I don’t think anything is ever a mistake), His love stays the same. So why am I so hard on myself? I’ll never get everything right, and that’s okay. Instead of beating myself up, I’m learning to embrace the not-so-good moments, grow from them, and choose better next time.

I genuinely love the season I’m in. It’s shaping me, teaching me, and preparing me for whatever is next. Looking back, I can say He’s been faithful through every season, and I know He always will be🫶🏼

Stay grateful and keep a good heart always! That’s all that matters babessss😚

Snack plate for the win!

One of my favorite lunches is a snack plate. It’s the perfect way to use up what’s already in my fridge while still making a meal that keeps me full.

Another thing I love about a snack plate is there are no rules! Just mix together what you have. Build it around protein, fiber, healthy fats, or whatever supports your goals the most!

Nourishing yourself doesn’t have to be complicated 🍎🥒🐟🍊

Whip it up Wednesday!

Cooking doesn’t always have to feel like a chore. I can get tired of meal prepping when it starts to feel repetitive or just another thing on my to-do list. Switching up the routine can feel good. Make cooking fun and try something new!

The meals you make for yourself are one of the simplest ways to care for the body you’ve been given 🫶🏼

Saved the best fruit for last 🥝🍋🫐🍊

The Fruit of the Spirit grows when we walk with God.

How do we receive them?
By staying close to Jesus. When we invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, spend time in prayer, read God’s Word, and choose obedience, He does the transforming. The fruit is evidence of His work in us, not our own effort.

Fruit only grows when it’s connected to the source. Apart from the vine, the fruit cannot grow. Jesus is the vine. He is the source. Stay connected 🕊️

New seasons of life come and go. Some are fruitful and full, while others are quiet and still. Yet hope and joy can be found in every season. Each one carries a purpose and nothing is wasted. God uses every season to shape us into who we’re meant to become 🕊️

I am blessed for every season God has allowed me to endure. The good and the bad. If it weren’t for the bad ones, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t have the confidence to begin this page, which was something God placed so heavy on my heart during a not so fun season of my life.

If you’re in a season where you feel distant from God, take it as an invitation to draw closer to Him. I promise you that He is there and He is waiting.
