Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

We’re writing to share a heartfelt update. After much thoughtful reflection, Heather and I have made the decision to close Parasol Aesthetics, Dermatology & Wellness as a whole and divide its services into two companies. We feel this is the best course for both of us, as we pursue new directions aligned with our passions and purpose.

This is not a goodbye—just a transformation.

Patients receiving Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy, Peptides, or Weight Loss will continue their care with Erika via telemedicine through at rollingwellness.life. She also may have limited pop-up aesthetic clinics, follow at and .

Heather, who has been trained in the art of aesthetics by Erika and is a true natural at it, will continue offering aesthetic treatments at the same location under her new company, Esti. & Co. This fresh concept supports independent estheticians while delivering the high-quality services you’ve come to expect.

Esti & Co. will be reaching out to all current Parasol members to see if you’d like to continue your same membership plan under Esti. & Co. Any outstanding services from Parasol will be fully honored there. 702-560-6776|https://www.estiandcompany.com

While Heather is enmeshing in the world of Aesthetics, Erika is launching into a dynamic new chapter in wellness media, in addition to Rolling Wellness. She’s the host of The Glam Dose, a fresh, medically grounded podcast focused on empowered aging and beauty. You can tune in and subscribe here: YouTube.com/.

Erika is also a Health & Beauty Columnist for Chic Compass Magazine and continues to contribute to other publications. View her latest work here: muckrack.com/erika-luren-2/portfolio.

Thank you for your trust, your loyalty, and the beautiful journey we’ve shared. We are so grateful to have been part of your wellness and aesthetics care—and we’re excited to continue in new and meaningful ways.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Erika & Heather

On average, human hair grows about 0.5 inches (1.25 cm) per month, which adds up to approximately 6 inches (15 cm) per year. However, the rate of hair growth can vary depending on factors such as:

- Genetics: Some people naturally have faster-growing hair due to their genetic makeup.
- Age: Hair growth tends to slow down with age.
-Diet and Nutrition: A well-balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, especially those like biotin, vitamin D, and iron, can promote healthy hair growth.
-Health: Hormonal changes, stress levels, and overall health can affect the rate of hair growth.
-Season: Some studies suggest that hair may grow slightly faster in warmer months.

Hair loss in middle-aged women is common and due to a variety of factors, including: hormonal changes, genetics, medical conditions, stress, and lifestyle choices. Below we explain some of these causes.

1. Hormonal Changes:
Perimenopause/Menopause: The decline in estrogen and progesterone during perimenopause/menopause can lead to hair thinning. These hormones help hair grow faster and stay on the head longer, so their decrease can result in hair loss.

Androgenic Alopecia: A hereditary condition that leads to gradual thinning of hair on the scalp, often referred to as female-pattern baldness.

2. Thyroid Issues: Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can cause hair loss. Thyroid hormones play a key role in regulating hair growth.

3. Nutritional Deficiencies: Lack of iron, vitamin D, B vitamins, and protein can lead to hair loss. Women in middle age are more prone to these deficiencies due to dietary changes and health issues.

4. Stress:: High levels of emotional or physical stress can trigger 'telogen effluvium', a condition where a large number of hair follicles enter the resting phase of the hair growth cycle, leading to noticeable shedding.

5. Medications: Certain medications, such as those for blood pressure, depression, arthritis, and cancer treatments, can cause hair thinning.

6. Autoimmune Diseases: Conditions like **alopecia areata**, where the immune system attacks hair follicles, can cause patches of hair loss.

7. Scalp Conditions: Dermatitis, infections, and scalp psoriasis can affect hair growth and lead to hair thinning.

Consult your Dermatology and Wellness provider (hint...that would be me) in order to diagnose the underlying cause of your hair loss and recommend the best treatments.

👊Andropause, often referred to as "male menopause," is caused by a gradual decline in testosterone levels in men age 40-55. Symptoms can include fatigue, depression, irritability, reduced libido, erectile dysfunction, and loss of muscle mass.

👊Although BHRT medications work best for treating symptoms of andropause, vitamins and herbal supplements can complement medical hormone therapy or be used as a stepping stone before.

Here are seven of the best alternative hormone therapies for "man-o-pause."

1. Tribulus Terrestris: Believed to enhance libido, supports testosterone production, and improve sexual health. Tribulus can stimulate production of luteinizing hormone, which can signal the body to produce more testosterone.

2. Ashwagandha: Helps reduce stress and anxiety, boosts energy levels, and supports testosterone production. It's an adaptogen that helps the body manage stress, which can positively affect hormonal balance.

3. Maca Root: Enhances libido, energy, mood, and may improve sexual function. Maca is often used to balance hormones and may improve overall endurance and vitality.

4. Saw Palmetto: Traditionally used to support prostate health and maintain hormone levels. It works by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which can help maintain testosterone levels.

5. Ginseng: Improves energy, reduces stress, and may enhance sexual performance. As an adaptogen, ginseng supports hormonal balance and improves vitality.

6. DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone): Is a precursor to testosterone and may help increase its levels in men. The body converts DHEA into testosterone, supporting hormone balance.

7. Zinc and Magnesium: Essential for testosterone production, maintaining energy, and promoting muscle strength. Zinc and magnesium support hormone regulation and can help increase free testosterone levels.

Week of the Bro! Let’s chat all things for the handsome-isation, of our aging men!
🧔‍♂️🧔‍♂️🧔‍♂️
Here, our awesome client is starting the anti-aging process under age 40, to correct dark circles & under eye sinking, while opening and lifting the eye area. Of course this is a two part process….

👊 1. First I addressed the concavity under-eye with a light dermal filler (so much better than the PRF he had before, that didn’t work). And also added some in the cheek are to create a supportive foundation for the eyes.

👊 2. Second, we did some Bro-Tox (specifically Jeuveau) to smooth the forehead/eye wrinkles & cause a lift (this photo was right after procedure, so results not kicked in yet).

👊 3. We addressed the hyperpigmentation of the epidermis with topical concoctions to brighten over time (his homework).

Although these are immediate post results, the true effect will be cumulative and seen over time (so better and better)!

Aesthetic Medicine is just as much an art, as it is a science. Choose an injector with knowledge and vision. Schedule 702-560-6776!

Dermatology for the Modern Age.

Parasol Aesthetics & Dermatology is the brain-child of Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) Erika Kimble, MA, MS, NP. Erika has 13 years experience in the field after graduating with a dual-masters in Family Practice as an NP and a Journalism and Communications major at The Ohio State University (she was also a NICU nurse before returning to school). Erika is currently pursuing her Doctorate at UNLV.

Through the years, Erika’s zeal for educational prowess, excellence in care, and ambition in her field, have garnered her many awards. Her alma mater honored her with the William Oxley Thompson Award for Early Career Achievement. She was also nominated by the College of Nursing as Top 100 Alumni and by independent publications as a Top NP in the country. As an actively involved Las Vegas resident, Erika has also been voted Top 100 Women of Vegas by My Vegas Magazine, Women of Wonder Award by Deluxe Version Magazine, and recently cited as a “Dermatology Pioneer” by Las Vegas Woman Magazine.

Beyond the accolades, Erika desired to create a streamlined, cost-efficient business model without the bureaucratic red tape of health insurance. She aimed to encompass the needs of modern Americans, which could include single-entrepreneurial Mom’s like herself, busy families with children, career driven individuals, and those desiring quality care beyond what current clinics provide. Under the Parasol Brand of Companies, Erika has achieved that. With the launch of Parasol Dermaceuticals, Parasol Virtual Dermatology, and Parasol Aesthetics & Dermatology Clinic; Patients skin, hair, or nail problems can be navigated seamlessly from one source.

Patients can be seen through Parasol Virtual Dermatology Clinic or Parasol Aesthetics & Dermatology physical clinic, to be examined, diagnosed, educated on disease/treatment/maintenance, e-prescribed medications, e-faxed lab orders, order/ship accessory skincare supplies, perform procedures (physical clinic only), and have continual easy access for questions via secure text messaging.
