Do you know that feeling when you love something SO much you just want to squeeze it or even eat it? Or when something makes you so happy, it makes you cry?
There’s a name for it! It’s called the dimorphous expression🥰
There is still a lot of research being done on this topic, but we all know that feeling. It happens when you are overwhelmed with joy, love and other positive emotions. Our response is to want to “eat”, squeeze really tight, pinch, etc, whatever it is making us feel overwhelmed with cuteness or love, but not actually wanting to hurt it. Causing us to feel these two different emotions, coming from the same origin. But for some reason the brain reacts with an opposite effect when it’s something that we are intended to nurture. And this response actually helps regulate our emotions. 🌞
When have you noticed this feeling?

Happy National Homebirth Day ❤️
I never ever thought I would want a homebirth. In fact I can remember a conversation with a friend who’s sister had one and said, “No way! She’s crazy. I would never do that!”
But the more I researched and learned about birth, the more apparent it was to me, that giving birth at home was the way I was going to bring babies into this world.
Thank you to these amazing ladies for being my support team and making our Homebirth experience the best!

I am in complete awe of myself! I did it! I had a successful vbac home birth! I feel so empowered and amazing at myself and my body. I shouldn’t say i because i def needed my team that was with me. Ryan literally was my rock through this whole thing. He was def a little iffy with a homebirth at first but he listened and trusted me. He learned so much about the birthing process and knew our story could be different from the first time around. My amazing doula that helped support me through this journey. And my amazing midwives over at babies 1st day and serenity birth center! Also having londyn be there during the whole experience. Watching her sister be born and being so helpful and calm with me massaging my shoulders giving me cold rags and feeding me ice. She was so good! I could not have done this without every single one of you! Ever since I had londyn almost 8 years ago I knew I wanted a different experience. I was young uneducated and didn’t know all the options I had. So for the past 7 years I have been educating myself. Learning about the whole birthing process and all the different options us women have that we don’t even know about. Now there is NO WRONG WAY TO BIRTH! Every birth is special. But as birthing women we have options that we are not told about. We have choices and decisions that we should be able to make for our bodies and babies. Most doctors/hospitals see birthing women as a dollar sign and that’s the truth. Very rarely do you have someone who is truely on your side advocating for you and your choices. 90% of the labor/birthing stories I hear are traumatic. I remember telling mine and it being so negative and that is just not what I wanted the second time around. So I educated myself and changed the narrative for myself, my baby, and my family. Again there is no wrong way to brith just get someone who will listen to you and educate yourself with all the

This is what milk ejection reflex (also known as “let-down”) actually looks like in the mammary glands!
Many people describe their let-down as a zap or jolt of electricity - turns out that it looks exactly how it feels ⚡️
How would you describe your let-down? Tell me in the comments.

Hey mama-to-be!! Have you practiced yoga during your pregnancy yet?!
I've been practicing yoga for almost a decade and I knew that my practice would shift when I got pregnant earlier this year.
The body goes through so many amazing, difficult, fascinating changes in these, let's be real, 10 months 😋
If you already have an established yoga practice, this practice might bring a whole new experience for you.
If you've never practiced yoga, you can absolutely start while pregnant, but I'd recommend doing it with somebody who can guide you in a way to avoid potential harm. Someone who can guide you to follow your intuition and listen to your body!
Yoga is more than the Asana, the physical practice, I have explored the yamas and niyamas, the first two limbs of yoga, the moral path. Pranayama, the 4th limb, breath control, is a great way to begin your labor prep.
Curious to learn more or try it out?
I'm teaching at @serenitybirthlv Fridays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the next two weeks before I go on maternity leave myself! (I am looking for subs!)
You can also follow my journey here on Instagram as well as on my YouTube channel where eventually I'll be sharing tons of prenatal yoga classes! 🤗😁
See you on the mat mama!!

Sweet glimpse in a family centered birth. We try to include siblings as much as they are comfortable. This little angel had all three of her big sisters present at her birth.

Helloooo Fall babies! 🍂
Several of our intended September babies joined us earlier, in August. But that's how birth looks sometimes. We can always plan for things to look differently than we planned, right😉 Thank you to each of these families for being an absolute joy to work with.
Born right into Daddy’s hands. Birth should be family centered. With us close, but hands off unless needed.
Thanks @ktnv for sharing on our Grand Opening! We can’t wait to have our ribbon cutting amongst all this support!
Tour is from 1-6 today and the ribbon cutting will be at 4 🎀 ✂️ 🎉
Little cutie caught dreaming 💭 😍
