Just arrived for work and the first thing I hear over the intercom: Medical alert code blue! I prayed for the person as I usually do and a second later they begin playing music when a child is born. During that moment I thought to myself: here someone just died and someone was just born. Life is hard and so fragile. We are born and then we die. And what we do in between is what matters, every day.
Birth, life, a day unfolds.
What a beautiful picture to have in mind for those women who walk the path of pregnancy loss.
What do you have in place to serve this unique group?
We have a simple 1 hour training session you may like. Call us to find out more. 702-925-8737
FYI...
Every October, SDMS and other sonography organizations join together to promote MUAM to increase the public’s knowledge about sonography.
Did you know?
Are you joining us?
There are those who believe that the research shows a connection or link between abortion and breast cancer. Both have increased since legalizing abortion. Scientific facts link the two.
In teaching medical professionals to scan to confirm pregnancy, it is one of the topics of discussion for those considering abortion; do the research. See what you find before terminating.
I'm glad to see the current administration take a step in recognizing a women's health issue that impacts so many.
To my friends who have lost or won the battle; I stand with you as a survivor or one who fought and lost.
Lol...
We believe so

Friday fun! I couldn't help myself...I decided a few might see a bit of humor w me😳😂😉
😂😂😂
For a sonographer to NOT become compulsive about wiping the probe off before putting it in its holder; despicable!
😂😂😂
Happy Friday and Happy scanning
"Really good" was the patients response to the 3D image below.
3D may not be for every clinic, but for some it's just what is needed in their community.
What do you think?
Patients we serve.
And?
What makes all of the stress worth it?
In working with women who are pregnant there are many topics covered while scanning. As we share the placenta location, some may inquire about the trend to consume the placenta. I can't help but wonder who was the first person to say; "let's use the placenta by consuming it. I'm sure there is some nutritional value."
You may find this article valuable and you may want to have the CDC link available to educate young moms with the CDC facts about placenta consumption.
It's about accurate information.
Trendy or not, there are risks associated with eating your placenta, and a new report from the CDC sheds light on what new moms should know.

Daily Reminder that the vast majority of abortions does not occur because of severe fetal abnormalities, r**e or in**st, or because the pregancy threatens the life of the mother.
Instead, women usually seek abortions because of other reasons: Having the child would interfere with their life plans (education, work), they feel that their current relationship is not good enough to start a family, etc.
The numbers are from Florida, where 71,740 abortions were recorded in 2015:

Thought many of you would like this.
Just because an opportunity presents itself, and it looks appealing, doesn't necessarily mean it is from God.
We've watched these new lives for the past couple years...these are two nests for 2017.
Still waiting😉
You may know a bit about the abortion reversal pill, you may not be aware that there is an abortion reversal pill, or you may actually be a medical professional who has been part of young woman's life who has taken the abortion reversal pill.
Having a state introduce a bill requiring that women know about it is valuable legislation.
True Informed Consent is something we believe in. Women are intelligent. Give them the facts so they can make a decision they can live with.
It is certainly telling of our natural instincts that there would be a need to abortion reversal. The immediate regret for some is tremendous.
Thank you Dr. Delgado and Debbie RN for spearheading this impactful medical service across the US.

Before you decide...be informed. Sound familiar? Make an informed choice;

Many of you had Barb Traskell as one of your trainers years ago, when she was with us. You loved her! "Press for success" she would say...many of us still say it 😊.
This past week she passed away due to a heart surgery complication. We know from working along side her that she touched many lives. We know that as she walks the streets of gold with Christ, she is meeting lives who know her voice. What delight she must be enjoying.
We will miss knowing you're out there Barb.
It's a great day!

23 weeks...can you see what's there? A recent article in a magazine described what was seen on an ultrasound image as being fabricated or cartoonish. As someone who's been scanning a long time, I can confidently say that the images we obtain aren't cartoonish, but instead an accurate rendering of what is in the uterus or whatever organ we are scanning. If it were a cartoon, how would physicians make a diagnosis? #3d ultrasound #ultrasoundimage
I think my limbs are actually invaluable. Who put the price tag of $30-$100 on my tissue? Apparently my head, that you are seeing, is even more valuable. While the U.S. is a free country and people can have their own opinion, I felt free to share mine as a 26 week gestation fetus.
What does "good enough" really mean? Does it say more about your approach and not as much about patient care? 7 weeks gestation...patients are amazed at the visibility of the heartbeat. How about you?
