I have been working with Star Shoes & Don Rogers the Owner for over 5 years. I cannot begin to say enough great things about Don. As a bit of background, I danced ballet and was on point as a child at too young an age. Now today as a mature adult I am living with significant damage to my feet (osteo-arthritis). I have had 6 surgeries on 1 foot and now in discussion with doctors on how to best manage the pain in my other foot.
During this time frame, Don has worked tirelessly getting me into the best fitting athletic shoes and building & continually tweaking custom orthotics to maximize my function & minimize my pain.
Don's knowledge, experience, compassion, great listening skills and desire to problem solve have all come together to enable me stay on my feet today and work internationally as a photographer.
I am eternally grateful that I have Don in my life. I would give Don "10 Star" rating if there was such a thing!
My husband went in to purchase an orthodic to help with planters facetious and supination issue. He walks with a tilt toward the outside of his feet. He came home with an orthodic for the ball of the foot which was a complete waste of money as well as a pair of Brooks addiction running shoes which are made for people who pronate on the inside of their foot. This made his issue much worse. If they had taken a minute to watch him walk or just tried to understand his condition instead of just selling the products they had in stock he would have saved $190.00. Thirty days later still in great physical pain his physical therapist noticed that the shoes and orthodic were all wrong. Unfortunately, when we went back to the store to see if they would honor the True Blue Guarantee which Brooks offers (try them for 90 days and return if they don't work for you) we were turned away. The proprieter as it states on their receipt say no swaps or returns after 30 days. My advice is go to Eastiside Medical pharmacy for an orthodic which is better and costs less. For an athletic shoe do some research on how you step or go to Fleet Feet in Lawrenceville where they will watch you walk across the room and make sure you walk out with shoes that will work for you!
